December is finally here, which means it’s time for the last Community Day of the year – The December 2025 Community Day. Normally, the monthly Community Day features a specific Pokemon. However, December brings back all the Community Days featured this year in Pokemon GO, and if you have missed any, now is the perfect chance to catch up with them.

The event will be highly promising, as it’s packed with free rewards, increased shiny encounter rates, exclusive moves, and unlimited Pokemon spawns. They are also a great way to load up on candies and hunt those high-IV catches. That said, here’s everything you need to know about December 2025 Community Day in Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go Community Day Shiny Rate for December 2025

As discussed earlier, all the Pokemon GO 2025 Community Days will be featured during the December 2025 event. Like any other Community Day, the shiny rate of the featured spawns will be drastically increased to 1 in 25 (4%), instead of the standard shiny rate. Players can increase their chances of getting a shiny by catching as many Pokemon as possible.

All December 2025 Community Day Event Bonuses

During the December 2025 Community Day, the following event bonuses will be available:

• Increased Pokemon spawns in the wild.
• 2× increased XP for catching Pokemon.
• 2× increased Stardust for catching Pokémon.
• 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
• 2× increased Catch Candy.
• 2× increased chance to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon.
• 3-hour Incense duration (excluding Daily Adventure Incense).
• 1-hour Lures duration (excluding Golden Lure Modules).
• One additional Special Trade can be made (max 3 for the day).
• Trades with Friends will require 50% less Stardust compared to normal days.
• From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time, there is a very high chance of the featured Pokemon appearing at PokeStops with active regular Lure Modules.
• Players can look out for Showcases at different PokeStops.

Limited Time Evolution Requirement Buffs

• Evolve Eevee into Espeon after exploring 1 km with Eevee as your buddy, instead of the standard 10 km requirement.
• Evolve Eevee into Umbreon after exploring 1 km with Eevee as your buddy, instead of the standard 10 km requirement.
• Evolve Eevee into Sylveon after earning seven hearts with Eevee as your buddy, instead of the standard 70 hearts requirement.
• Evolve Floette into Florges after earning seven hearts with Floette as your buddy, instead of the standard 70 hearts requirement.
• Evolve Pawmo into Pawmot after exploring 1 km with Pawmo as your buddy, instead of the standard 10 km requirement.

How to Prepare for Pokemon Go Community Day

Pokemon Go Community Day in December 2025, will feature plenty of Pokemon in the wild for 3 hours. Additionally, you will get various bonuses if you play during the specified time. Considering all the factors, we have listed some tips below, which you can follow to make the most out of the event:

• Make sure to clean up your Pokedex storage, as you’ll be catching various Pokemon. Keep around 100-200 extra space if possible, and transfer any unwanted Pokemon. Consider buying extra storage from the shop using PokeCoins.
• Stock up on Razz Berries and Great Balls, and Ultra Balls, as they can make catching a lot easier.
• Use Silver Pinap or Pinap Berries to get four times the amount of Candy and Candy XL on catching a Pokemon.
• Use the incense right away when the event starts to fully maximize the bonus.
• Use the Fast Catch method to save time when catching.
• Use a Lucky Egg to get four times XP during the event, and level up fast. Make sure to activate a StarPiece at the same time to maximize your Stardust gain.
• Lastly, don’t forget to evolve your newly caught Pokemon before the event ends to get the exclusive move.
