List of Theme Words for NYT Strands on June 18
If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:
- HORSESHOE
- HANDLEBAR
- PENCIL
- TOOTHBRUSH
- WALRUS
What seemed like horse extended into HORSESHOE, and that turned out to be a theme word? I was baffled. I accidentally found PENCIL in the leftmost column and that turned out to be a theme word too.
Even now, they seemed more like random words than anything related to the theme. When I found MUSTACHE as the Spangram for the day, I facepalmed too hard.
Right after, I found TOOTHBRUSH in the bottom left. On the bottom right, there was WALRUS and the last couple of grids gave me HANDLEBAR. That concluded today’s Strands!
Very strange how I could manage to get through today’s Strands without using any hints. What about you? On a scale of 1-10, how difficult was the Strands today for you? Do cry your heart out in the comments down below!
