MSI Launches its First Professional Laptop in India, Priced Starting at Rs. 77,990

Taiwanese electronics manufacturer MSI, a company famous for its high-end gaming laptops, has now launched its first professional laptop in India called the PS42. Priced starting at Rs. 77,990, the thin and light gaming laptop features 8th-gen Intel Core processors coupled an Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card, allowing it to power through basic graphic intensive software.

The high-end variant of the PS42, which is priced at Rs. 99,990, is powered by an 8th-gen Intel Core i7 processor coupled with an Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD. The ultra-portable laptop weighs in at just 1.1kg and has a slim 15.9mm frame, making it the perfect option for people who work on the go.

The laptop features a 14-inch full HD IPS-level display with minimal 5.7mm bezels on all sides, giving it a screen to body ratio of 81%. The display comes packed with MSI’s True Color 2.0 technology which gives it the ability to display next-to-perfect colors and allows content creators to calibrate their display according to their own specific needs.

The speakers on the PS42 are backed by Nahimic 3 audio engine, giving the laptop an immersive 7.1 cinematic surround sound. MSI has also leveraged its expertise in developing great thermal solutions while designing the PS42, giving it a dual exhaust thermal design to prevent overheating under intense load. Even with all the impressive hardware and a sleek design, the MSI PS42 packs in 2 full-sized USB ports, two USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm combo jack, and an SD card reader.

On top of that, the MSI PS42 packs in a substantial battery, with the company claiming that the device will last up to 10 hours on a single charge. Once again, the MSI PS42 will be available in two variants, with the Core i5 powered system priced at Rs. 77,990 and the Core i7 powered system priced at Rs. 99,990. Both the laptops will be available for purchase via MSI retail stores across the country, Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm.
