Dev Patel’s critically acclaimed film, Monkey Man, was released in Worldwide theaters on April 5, and now, the movie is set to release on OTT and Digital platforms. As per Variety, “the film will also get a digital release on June 11 and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD versions on June 25.” Interestingly, these releases will also feature several scenes that had been cut from the version that was released on the big screens. Furthermore, you will also get to see different endings and openings.

Peacock has announced that Monkey Man will be available to stream on the platform starting from June 14, 2024. It is noteworthy that Peacock is available in limited countries and we expect the movie to be released on more platforms soon.

Dev Patel not only starred in the movie as the lead actor but also conceived the story of Monkey Man himself. Seeing him as the director and Jordan Peele as the producer, the movie follows a man who has spent his entire childhood in miseries. After growing up, he gets involved in underground fights, where he earns money not for winning but for losing. However, the thing gets brutal when he decides to go on a path of revenge to find and kill his mother’s murderer.

Monkey Man sits on IMDb with 6.9 ratings and 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film is highly appreciated for the energetic action scenes, sound score, and, of course, the strong acting performances by literally every actor involved in the project.

Monkey Man was announced in 2018, and that’s when we learned that Dev Patel will direct the action-thriller. Initially, he approached the South African-Canadian filmmaker Neill Blomkamp to take on the directorial responsibilities. However, the celebrated film creator asked him to do what was needed.
