Marvel Rivals’ constantly expanding roster is all set to welcome new Heroes in Season 4, with the official trailer confirming that Angela will headline the upcoming update. Now, this isn’t exactly what fans were hoping to hear since a previous leak hinted at the arrival of both Deadpool and Daredevil. But the Asgardian does have some interesting superpowers and plenty of cool lore to get excited about. With this in mind, here’s everything we know so far about Angela in Marvel Rivals, including her confirmed release date, abilities, and more.

Marvel Rivals Angela: Release Date

Angela will join the roster as part of the Marvel Rivals Season 4 update, which is set to drop on September 12, 2025.

As mentioned earlier, her arrival was confirmed via the official Season 4 trailer, which featured her going head-to-head with Daredevil. But information hinting at her arrival surfaced long before the character was revealed by Netease.

For starters, a Knull storyline Gallery Card, which stated that one of Hela’s “own kin would come to deliver justice” for her role in the Symbiote disaster, pointed towards the introduction of Angela. On top of this, leaked voicelines saw the likes of Loki and Doctor Strange making references to Angela or conversing with her directly. Then there’s the fact that Angela recently joined a different Netease game in Marvel Mystic Mayhem, which only bolstered rumors of her arrival.

In case you’re wondering what she’s all about, Angela is the firstborn child of Odin and Freyja. She was denied a lavish Asgardian upbringing after being kidnapped by Angels during the Heaven War. One of those Angels showed kindness to the character and raised her, eventually naming her ‘Angela’ to signify that she’s part of the guild.

Over time, Angela developed strong connections with her siblings, including Hela, Thor, and Loki. She has also embarked on multiple space-faring adventures with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Based on everything we know so far, Angela’s Marvel Rivals iteration could be more vengeful, and she could be hell-bent on serving up justice to Hela.

Marvel Rivals Angela: Abilities and Role

While Angela’s abilities are yet to be confirmed, we have a solid idea of what the character’s kit could look like based on her official description.

Confirming a previous rumor, the description states that “Angela can take the fight to the skies,” and dive into the enemy lines. This means she’ll be equipped with a temporary flying mechanic, possibly in the same vein as Phoenix. As we suspected, the character’s arsenal will be made up of Ichors that can take the shape of any bladed weapon. In this case, she’ll alternate between a Spear and Dual Axes.

Additionally, she can also morph her weapon into a shield, all but confirming that Angela will indeed be a Vanguard. This was to be expected since the devs were unlikely to double up on Duelists after Blade, and she also happens to be a Tank in Netease’s Marvel Mystic Mayhem.

Based on these details, it looks like Angela will be a hybrid tank, capable of commanding the frontlines, dealing damage, and delving into her dive bag to create openings. She’ll likely be able to chuck spears at her enemies, impaling and stunning them in the process. While diving from above, Angela should be able to carve into foes using Dual Axes, making her a close-range force to be reckoned with.

We’ll have to wait and see how her kit turns out, but based on the description, it sounds quite flexible and possesses some solid verticality.

Marvel Rivals Angela: Team-Up Ability

Angela’s team-up ability in Marvel Rivals is named ‘Divine Armory,’ and it sees her combine with Thor for an electrifying maneuver. As stated by the devs, when both characters are in the same comp, Thor is granted a Thunder Spear that restores Thor Force upon impact. He can then leap directly to the impact point, closing the distance and opening combo opportunities.

It’s a pretty aggressive team-up that should be effective at hunting down rival Support players and applying constant pressure that can cause the opposition to retreat.

And that wraps up our guide on Angela in Marvel Rivals. We’ll be updating this article as soon as new official or leaked information arrives, so be sure to revisit. Until then, let us know if you’re excited for Season 4 in the comments.
