At a launch event in New Delhi, Lenovo has today expanded on its Legion gaming laptop lineup with the launch of the Legion Y540 and Legion Y740. The company is now steadily growing its India portfolio and the Legion laptop launch comes after the new Yoga lineup unveiling earlier this month. Lenovo has refreshed its lineup with the new Legion laptops, now offering the latest CPU and GPU options.
Specs and Features
The Legion Y540 and Y740 are successors to Lenovo’s Y530 and Y730 gaming laptops from last year. Both of them boast almost the exact design and specs, except for the fact that Legion Y740 boasts an anodized aluminum build as compared to a textured plastic build on the Legion Y540. Both of these gaming laptops feature a 15.6-inch anti-glare display with a 1920×1080 pixels resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate and thin bezels.
Both of these gaming machines come outfitted with the latest 9th-gen Intel Core i9-9750H processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM (upgradable to 32GB) and 1TB of M.2 SSD. This is also paired with up to 6GB Nvidia GeForce RTX2060 graphics card and dual-channel thermal system termed Coldfront. While the Legion Y540 only sports a white color-backlit keyboard, Legion Y740 brings along an RGB-backlit keyboard with macro keys along the side.
Both the Legion Y540 and Legion Y740 boast almost the exact dimensions and weigh around 2.2 kilograms. You get all the essential connectivity options including 2×2 Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 1x USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0, RJ-45, mini-DP port, and more. They feature a 3-cell 57WH battery, with up to 5 hours of backup.
Price and Availability
Lenovo Legion Y540 has been priced starting at Rs. 69,990, which is an attractive price for the specs whereas the Legion Y740 will starting retailing at Rs. 1,29,990.
