Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Ended Without Tengen’s Much-Awaited Merger

Spoiler Warning: This article includes spoilers for the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.

As Master Tengen was captured by Kenjaku, the preparation for the great merger was already done. So, the same as Kenjaku, the fans were curious to see if the madman’s wicked plan — the merger of Tengen with humans in Japan would happen or not. As the Jujutsu Kaisen manga was coming to an end, fans were intensely looking forward to this evil dream coming to fruition in the end. But, alas, we did not get to see the merger.

The whole point of the Culling Game arc was to kick off the merger. Even Kenjaku admitted that the culling game has to end to start the merger. However, if you have been following our Jujutsu Kaisen coverage, you should have come across one of our recent articles. In this post, we proved that the much-awaited merger will never happen in Jujutsu Kaisen. Now, fast-forward to the finale of the JJK manga, and our prediction has come to fruition as the much-anticipated merger never really happened in the end.

It seems that author Gege Akutami didn’t care to explain why the merger wasn’t completed. In fact, Megumi Fushiguro, who now has the authority to pull the trigger on the merger, as well as any other character, refused to acknowledge anything about the merger in JJK’s finale. In the end, neither the fans nor Kenjaku could fulfill our curiosity, thanks to the author.

The sorcerers putting an end to the merger and getting the happy ending was never a problem. However, the fact that the author provided direct evidence of who had control over the merger and failed to address it further in the end made every fan dissatisfied. So, what’s your opinion about the way Gege left the merger in the JJK manga? Let us know in the comments below.
