Agatha Harkness is a powerful witch in the Marvel universe whom we met in WandaVision for the first time. We saw how cunning and power-thirsty she was and how she tried to steal Wanda Maximoff’s magic. However, Wanda, being another mighty witch, managed to defeat her by trapping her in a spell. So, now that we know WandaVision is connected to Agatha All Along’s plot, it’s evident that fans curiously want to know if the upcoming Marvel miniseries is set after or before the events of WandaVision.
Is Agatha All Along a Sequel of WandaVision?
Agatha All Along is indeed a spin-off sequel to WandaVision, and it is set three years after the events of the 2021 series.
At the end of WandaVision, Scarlet Witch and Agatha Harkness fought a brutal battle, and the latter was sealed in Westview, New Jersey. Now, the story of Agatha All Along will start in Texas, where we’ll see Agatha getting freed by a goth teen.
However, after escaping prison, Agatha realizes that she isn’t powerful anymore. With the help of the goth teen, she forms a new coven of potent witches. Together, they head towards the legendary Witches’ Road to face the trials and achieve whatever they desire.
Despite being a sequel to WandaVision, we can expect it to bring some prequel events to the table in the form of flashbacks (it completely makes sense). Kathryn Hahn portrayed the antagonistic Agatha in WandaVision, and now she is all set to reprise her iconic villainous role in Agatha All Along.
The character believes herself to be the most powerful witch in the universe, and that’s why she enters the lives of Wanda and Vision to gain more powers by stealing the magic of the former. However, Wanda defeated her and revealed her potential to Agatha. Now that Wanda is gone (as implied in Doctor Strange 2 and Agatha All Along’s trailer), Agatha will go beyond her limits to regain her long-lost powers and become the mightiest witch she desired to become since the start.
Agatha All Along will premiere on September 18 on Disney+.
