HP Inc on Friday introduced its new Chromebook in India at a starting price of Rs 44,990. Called the HP Chromebook x360, the device comes loaded with Android apps and runs Google’s Chrome OS. “We are excited to introduce the HP Chromebook x360 in India to help modern consumers unlock new ways to create, collaborate and consume with the features and functionalities of Chrome OS and Android apps”, said Vickram Bedi, Senior Director, personal systems, HP Inc. India.
HP Chromebook x360 Specifications and Features
The Chromebook x360 has four modes – laptop, tablet, stand and tent – and is powered by an 8th-gen Intel Core i3-8130U processor. It features a 14-inch FHD (1920×1080 pixels) multi-touch IPS display, ‘micro-edge’ 7.5mm ultra-thin bezels and custom-tuned Bang & Olufsen B&O Play dual speakers.
In addition, the device comes with up to 64GB of SSD storage, up to 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM, a 60Wh battery and a HD True VisionHD web-cam. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, 2x USB 3.2 Type-C ports, 1x USB 3.1 HP Sleep and Charge port, 1x headphone/microphone combo port and 1x multi-format SD media card reader.
Price, Availability and Launch Offers
The Chromebook x360 will be available at HP World Stores in 28 cities, as well as various online channels, including the company’s own official web-store, Amazon and Flipkart. Pricing starts at Rs. 44,990. Launch offers include 2GB of 4G data every day from Jio for one year with a JioFi router priced at Rs. 999, as well as a 1-year subscription to Google One with one year of complimentary 100GB Google Drive storage.
