Elden Ring Nightreign is about preparing for the ultimate battle on the final day. The way to prepare yourself in this game is by leveling up and looting for better weapons. However, it is not possible to land a good Epic or Legendary weapon in every run. Sometimes, you will be stuck with a Rare or Normal weapon for the entire run. When this happens, you can upgrade that weapon instead. Here is a complete guide on how to upgrade weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign.
How to Upgrade Weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign
Upgrading weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign is fairly simple. All you need to do is find a smithing table and smithing stones in Limveld. With the smithing stones in your inventory, interact with the Smithing Table and select the weapon you want to upgrade. This way, you can upgrade your weapons from the Normal Rarity to the Epic Rarity.

To upgrade a weapon from Normal to Rare, you will need a Smithing Stone 1. But, to upgrade the weapon to Epic from Rare, you will need a Smithing Stone 2, which is a rare item drop. You will always find a smithing table next to a merchant.
The merchants spawn randomly in Limveld, but it is guaranteed to find one near the central castle. Besides that, a smithing table is in the waiting area on day three, outside the Night Lord’s boss door.
Where to Find Smithing Stone 2 in Elden Ring Nightreign

Shifting Earth Crater Event: Special Way To Upgrade Weapons

The weapons can only be upgraded to the Epic rarity using smithing stones and a smithing table. However, there is a way you can upgrade your weapon to the legendary rarity. This is only possible when the Shifting Earth: Crater event is in progress.
You will find a massive volcanic crater on the map during this event. After going to the bottom of this area, you will have to defeat a Magma Wyrm. Once you have defeated the magma wyrm, you can use the special Smithing Table present to upgrade any of your weapons to the legendary rarity or duplicate your weapon.
