Let’s face it: you aren’t playing Garden Horizons to settle for a basic farm and a low bank balance. The early game is slow, and it limits you to a repetitive cycle of harvesting and selling cheap crops like carrots, with the real challenge being the shop. Just like Grow a Garden, rare seeds and high-end gear like sprinklers don’t appear in the shop rotation very often. And even when it does, you don’t have enough to buy the expensive seeds as a starter player. This is why you must make money fast in Garden Horizons, and we’re here to help you out with that.

Making shillings or cash fast is all about strategy, looking out for the best seeds in Garden Horizons, waiting for the right mutations to turn up, using the various gears to boost income from harvests, and so on. Buy Single Harvest Crops Early

The very first tip while starting with Garden Horizons is that single harvest crops mean fast and hard cash. Carrots are as cheap as $20, and they’re almost always in stock. This combination makes it a powerful crop early in the game.

Plant a bunch of these in your garden and wait for them to become ‘Lush‘. Don’t just harvest them in their unripe or ripe stages, because then you won’t get the maximum profit out of the crop. And this tip goes for all the seeds in Garden Horizons.

After making a decent profit by selling these carrots, you can move over to buying the onions and beetroots. These are single-harvest crops as well, and once they become Lush, they can give significantly higher returns than the crops close to them in the Seed shop.

Wait For Lush Before Harvesting

Unlike Grow a Garden, patience is the key while harvesting in Garden Horizons. Once you place a seed in your plot and wait for the crop to bear fruit, you will notice that the harvests go through a change from being unripe to ripe and then finally Lush.

Do note the multiplier in the brackets beside this label. While the unripe ones provide minimal to no cash boosts at all, the ripe stage harvests give a medium amount of boost. Finally, you can harvest the Lush stage crops to get a solid cash multiplier of 3x.

Do remember that common crops take very little time to get the lush trait, whereas the rarer plants, such as the Dawn Fruit, will take a lot of time to fully reach their peak value.

Stack Mutations Through Weather Events

The Garden Horizons weather events are a jackpot for making money fast in the game. There are mainly five types of weather as of now, including foggy, rain, storm, snow, and starfall that can give your crops the respective mutations on them.

You will notice that the weather events start the moment the seed shop restocks and last for 5 minutes. So, what you need to do is purchase all the single harvest seeds right when they restock, quickly plant them in your garden, and wait for them to grow. Meanwhile, the active weather event will apply the respective mutations on these crops, and they will gain cash boosts in the process.

You can also choose to leave these crops unharvested and wait for the next weather event. This will lead to stacking up mutations on the crops, and they can further sell at massive profits.

Densely Pack Your Crops To Manage Space

As a beginner, you must not make the mistake of using up your whole plot for planting all the crops in an untidy way. This will not affect your cash gain at the very beginning, but you will surely regret not sorting out your garden in the correct manner later on in Garden Horizons.

With every major update, Garden Horizons will surely introduce seed packs with exclusive seeds that you can get for a limited time. So, if you use up all your space, there won’t be enough area to place the new crops, and you would be left with no choice but to shovel your best Garden Horizons seeds.

Notice how I have grouped multiple corn at one corner of my plot, and used the other half of it to place four more apple trees. And, still, there is space to place more crops in that specific spot. And guess what, I have designated that corner of the first plot for apple trees only. This helps me harvest more apples without using up the plot space elsewhere.

But this is just a suggestion, and you can always come up with a better and more efficient approach to planting crops alongside utilizing the plot space.

Complete Daily and Weekly Quests

At the fountain area, where you can find the seed shop, the selling stall, and the gear shop, there is a quest board as well. Interact with the quest board to view all the daily and weekly quests. While the daily quests refresh every 24 hours, the weekly ones refresh in 7 days.

So, make sure you make this ritual of viewing the quest board daily to learn about the tasks that you can complete. Since doing them will help in earning more Shillings and some seed packs. These seed packs can even grant you some of the rarest crops in the game if you’re lucky enough. So, complete the quests to make more money in Garden Horizons.

Buy Better Gear As Per Requirements

Now, gears can be a bit expensive for beginners, and you must always focus on filling up your garden with money-making crops first. However, if you have reached that stage where making $100k is no big deal, consider visiting the Garden Horizons gears shop.

Here, you can purchase the Turbo and the Super sprinker to massively increase the crop growth and fruit size. But buying them won’t be enough. You must properly place these sprinklers right in the middle of crops that have the potential to earn the maximum profit from a harvest.
