Once you find the specific enemy to get the desired rune, slay them to get the rune. However, it is not a guaranteed drop. So, you might need to defeat multiple enemies to get the runes. Make sure you use some good pickaxes in The Forge and get yourself solid weapons and armor before getting into fights.
How to Equip Runes in The Forge
Now that you know where the runes hide in The Forge, the next step is slotting them in. Weapons and armor upgrades are required before they can hold runes, while pickaxes arrive with fixed slots. Once the gear is ready, go to the runemaker and interact with him. Select the weapon, armor, or pickaxe from the menu and add the rune from your inventory.
