Crimson Desert doesn’t have a traditional XP system in the game. It relies on weapon upgrades and Abyss Artifacts for character progression. Upgrading your weapons and armors are key to scaling properly in Crimson Desert. But upgrading or refining your weapons and armor costs materials. Iron Ore is one such material that is essential in almost all early weapons and armor upgrades. Here is a guide on how to get Iron Ore in Crimson Desert, alongside all Iron Ore locations.
How to Get Iron Ore in Crimson Desert
Iron Ore is one of the most essential resources in Crimson Desert for upgrading your equipment. This resource can be obtained by mining Iron Ore deposits in the game. To mine in Crimson Desert, you will need a pickaxe. You can also use the Force Palm ability on the ore deposits to break them, but mining with a pickaxe gives the best results.
To get Iron Ore in Crimson Desert, head to one of the Iron Ore deposits and equip the Pickaxe from your quick access menu (F2 for Keyboard). The pickaxe must be in your inventory for it to appear on the menu. A good pickaxe you can use is the Mining Knuckledrill, which can be obtained by defeating Marni’s Excavatron in Crimson Desert. Now, with the pickaxe equipped, hold the observation key and look at the ore deposits. If you see a blue marking, you can mine it. If it shows red, then it cannot be mined.
On a blue marking, press the attack key with the pickaxe equipped to start mining. Once the ore breaks, you can pick up the Iron Ore from the ground. Now, take the ores to a Blacksmith to upgrade weapons in Crimson Desert.
