Fortnite Sonic Collab: How to Get Dr. Eggman Skin for Free

You can get the Dr. Eggman skin and other associated cosmetics in Fortnite for free, as a gift-with-purchase, by purchasing Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds through the Epic Games Store. The devs have also included a first look at the evil genius to help you decide if it’s worth it.

When it comes to his appearance, Dr. Eggman looks exactly how you would expect him to look, right down to nefarious monocles and designer eyewear. Similar to the Phantom Blade Zero skin in Fortnite, Epic Games has paid great attention to detail.

Having said that, here are the steps to get the Dr. Eggman skin in Fortnite for free:

• Open the Epic Games Store through the app or the website in your preferred browser.
• In the search bar, type Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and look for the title.
• Click on the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds game listing and purchase the game ($23.99).
• Once you purchase the game, you’ll receive the Dr. Eggman skin and other associated cosmetics in your Fortnite locker immediately.

Once you follow these steps, you will receive the Dr. Eggman skin. You will have to use or redeem Fortnite V-Bucks gift cards to make the in-game purchase. Before you make the purchase, we recommend you check to ensure it’s your primary account for Fortnite. If not, you will not get the skin in your locker.

How to Get Dr. Eggman Skin in the Fortnite Item Shop

If Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds isn’t your game of choice, or you’re not interested in it, there’s no need to worry. Similar to the Perlica skin in Fortnite, you can get Dr. Eggman from the Item Shop. It was added on August 21, 2026, at 8 PM ET. Here are the steps you can follow to get the Dr. Eggman skin from the Item Shop:

• Open Fortnite and navigate to the Item Shop tab.
• Navigate the Item Shop sections and look for the “Sonic the Hedgehog” section. You will find the Dr. Eggman bundle here.
• Click on the Dr. Eggman bundle (2,000 V-Bucks) or any of the other items you want to purchase separately.
• Press and hold down the Purchase button to complete your transaction.
• Cosmetics related to the Dr. Eggman bundle will now be in your Fortnite locker.
