  • The Cube Rifle also has an Exotic variant called the Hoprock Cube Rifle.
  • The weapon has two fire modes, with the secondary mode firing concentrated Cubes that explode.

Team Foundation is playing catch-up with Team Ice King in the Rivalries event, with the faction finally crossing another milestone and unlocking the Fortnite Cube Rifle. This new weapon, designed by Elite Jules, brings Kevin-infused energy to the battlefield. Wondering how you can get your hands on it? Here’s everything you need to know.

Where to Find the Cube Rifle in Fortnite

You can get the Cube Rifle through regular loot sources like chests, floor loot, and supply drops on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 map. The base variant of the Cube Rifle is only available in Epic and Legendary rarities, making it a bit hard to come by.

However, if you want a guaranteed way to acquire the rifle, you can get the Exotic Hoprock Cube Rifle from the Fortnite Rivalry Machines in exchange for 80 Rival Credits. This version of the weapon comes with a built-in low gravity effect that remains active as long as you have the weapon in your hand. This can be great to avoid fall damage and even combine it with the Skyline Deployer for some useful movement.

How to Use the Cube Rifle in Fortnite

The Cube Rifle is one of the most unique weapons in the Fortnite loot pool, coming with two fire modes with completely different functions. These are:

AbilityInputDamageDescription
Primary FireR2/RT on controller and Left Click on PC50Fires a beam of energy with a lot of stopping power.
Secondary FireL2/LT on controller and Right-Click on PC70 (Automatic explosion)
125 (Manual detonation)
Fires miniature cubes that can detonate for big damage numbers while also impacting structures.

The secondary fire mode for the Cube Rifle allows players to shoot out concentrated Cube-infused projectiles. These projectiles can blow up by themselves after a short period of time, or you can use the primary fire to hit the projectile and cause it to detonate. While both techniques can be useful on their own, the manual detonation leads to a lot more damage and, to be honest, feels much cooler to pull off.

However, remember that the Fortnite Cube Rifle does not have the ability to ADS (Aim Down Sights). This means that, since you will lack the accuracy of the Vector 7 DMR or the Foundation Rift Rifle, the secondary fire should be your main focus when using the weapon.
