The Zen shop, helmed by the Brown Racoon, is the brand-new addition in the Zen update in Grow a Garden. Similar to the Honey and Summer shop, the limited-time items in the Zen shop can only be purchased using a secondary currency, known as Chi Points. So, if you want to learn how to earn Chi Points in Grow a Garden, go through the step-by-step guide below. Here, we’ve also mentioned how many Chi Points you earn based on the rarity of the fruit, along with what they are used for.

How to Get Chi Points in Grow a Garden

Chi Points can be earned by submitting plants or fruits with the tranquil mutation to the new Brown Raccoon NPC who runs the Zen Shop in Grow a Garden. So, follow the steps below to get Chi easily in the game:

  • Head over to the central area to find the brown Raccoon beside Unk the Monk NPC.
  • Press ‘E‘ to interact with the Raccoon and select the “Take all my Tranquil plants” to submit all your fruits. Or, you can select the “Take this plant” option to give the fruit you’re holding.
  • Based on the plant’s rarity, you will be rewarded with Chi points that we have discussed in the next section.

The Zen event takes place every hour, where you can have a chance of getting the Tranquil mutation in the game. There are two other ways to get this cool new mutation, including the new Tanchozuru pet you get from the Zen egg and the pet Tranquil mutation you can apply to existing pets.

Alternatively, you can also get some Chi Points by submitting Tranquil mutated plants to Unk the Monk NPC and growing the Zen Tree behind him. This increases the progress bar above his head, the Zen Tree Level grows, and you receive a few rewards. Here, you’ll have a chance of obtaining a few Chi Points as well.

Grow a Garden Chi Points Values

Now that you know the process to earn Chi Points, you must be curious about the number of points you get for plants of different rarity. The amount earned is slightly different from Summer Coins, as common harvests earn you only 1 Chi Point while Prismatic harvests give you 8 Chi Points.

With that said, here is a list of Chi Points you earn based on the tier of plants you submit with the Tranquil mutation:

  • Common: 1 Chi
  • Uncommon: 2 Chi
  • Rare: 3 Chi
  • Legendary: 4 Chi
  • Mythical: 5 Chi
  • Divine: 6 Chi
  • Prismatic: 7 Chi
  • Transcendent: 8 Chi

What Can You Use Chi Points for?

In Grow a Garden, Chi Points have a single use. You can use Chi to buy new items from the Zen Shop. The Zen shop brings a laundry list of exclusive items, including the Zen seed pack, pets, Zen pet eggs, cosmetic crates, gnome crates, and more.

During the Zen event, your Sheckles won’t be of much use since all the grinding will be done to earn more and more Chi Points in the game. However, the good thing is that you can now use Sheckles to restock the Zen shop to get new stock for limited items.
