However, to craft almost anything in the Deep North, you will need to use Bloodgold. Finding Bloodgold is very different from the usual mining method in other biomes. So, here is how you can get Bloodgold in Valheim.
How to Craft Bloodgold in Valheim
Crafting Bloodgold is one of the most difficult challenges in Valheim. To craft Bloodgold, you will need the following things. These have been added with the new Valheim 1.0 patch.
- Petrified Tissue
- Coal
- Blast Furnace

Simply put Petrified Tissue and Coal in the Blast Furnace to get Bloodgold in the game. Players can get Petrified Tissue from Gammeltroll and Coal from burning any wood in Charcoal Kilns. Blast Furnace is a crafting bench, and players can craft it using 20 Stones, 5 Surtling Cores, 10 Iron, and 20 Finewood.
How to Get Petrified Tissue in Valheim
Now, getting Petrified Tissue is the hard part when it comes to crafting Bloodgold in Valheim. Here is how you can do it:
- To get Petrified Tissue in Valheim, players need to find the Gammeltroll in the Deep North.
- These are massive stone trolls that roam in the overworld in the Deep North biome.
- You can spot them very easily if you run around a bit in the new biome. Once you do, you have to defeat them.
- Defeating the Gammeltroll will make it petrified.
- Once it becomes petrified, use Ember Charge on it.
- This will break the Gammeltroll, and you will get multiple Petrified Tissues.
How to Get Ember Charge in Valheim
Next, you will need to craft Ember Charge to break the Petrified Gammeltroll. To get Ember Charge in Valheim, you will need to know its Valheim recipe. Here is how you can craft it:
- 1 Embers
- 2 Seal Pelts
To get Embers, you need to craft the Eternal Pyre using a Fader Relic, 10 Stones, and a Stonecutter. It will now generate embers automatically that you can pick up in the game. To get Seal Pelts, you have to kill Seals in Deep North. They spawn around the ocean.
