Dune Awakening Fast Travel Explained
Fast traveling in Dune is unlocked after you arrive at the Griffin’s Reach outpost during the ‘A Touch of Civilisation‘ quest. On arriving at the settlement, use the map to head toward the contract board, and look on its opposite side to find a pilot standing beside an Ornithopter hologram.
You’ll need to speak to these Ornithopter pilots located within the major settlements and checkpoints on the map. These pilots offer a taxi service, and you can interact with them to immediately travel to your selected location.
You must pay 2,500 Solari each time you fast travel. Unfortunately, you’ll have to speak with these pilots whenever you want to fast travel, since the game doesn’t offer seamless fast travel using the map.
At the beginning, you’ll have a limited number of locations to fast travel to. These include Hagga Basin, Arrakeen, and Harko Village. But as you progress through the story and visit new settlements, more locations will appear on the fast travel list. Outside of paying the pilots, the only ways of speeding up traversal are a sandbike, the jeep, or obtaining an ornithopter of your own.
