How to Get Yggdrasil Wood for Valheim’s Grappling Hook Recipe
Yggdrasil Wood is the easiest to get out of all the items for crafting the Grappling Hook. You can get it by cutting down any tree in the Mistlands biome of Valheim. However, you will need at least a Black Metal Axe or something better to cut down these trees.
How to Get Refined Eitr for Valheim’s Grappling Hook Recipe
Refined Eitr is a Valheim material that can be obtained by refining Sap and Soft Tissue in an Eitr Refinery. Here is how you can craft or obtain each of these items:
- Sap: Resource obtained from Sap Extractors using Ancient Roots.
- Soft Tissue: Harvested from the resource nodes inside the skulls of Giant remains and mounds of flesh inside the Putrid Holes in the Mistlands, using a Black Metal pickaxe or better. Other than that, dropped by Dvergr Crates, Dvergr Rogues, and Dvergr Mages.
- Eitr Refinery: 20 Black Marble, 5 Black Metal, 10 Yggdrasil Wood, 5 Black Core, and 3 Sap.
How to Get Mandibles in Valheim
Mandibles can be obtained by defeating Seeker soldiers in the Mistlands Biome. These are highly aggressive creatures and can be found inside the Infested Mines. They are much larger than ordinary Seekers, appearing like a stag beetle instead of an ant. They do not have wings. Defeat them, and you can obtain Mandibles.
How to Get Hooks in Valheim for the Grappling Hook Recipe
Now comes the main part, which is obtaining Hooks in Valheim. Hooks are a new item added in Mistlands during the 1.0 patch. They are specifically added for crafting the Grappling Hook in Valheim. To obtain the hook, here is what you need to do:
- Head into the Infested Mines in Mistlands.
- Look for hidden stone doors with blue glyphs.
- Enter them and loot the area to find Hooks..
