With the game launching on November 20th, players cannot wait to get their hands on it. So, if you can’t wait to start playing, here’s how to preload Stalker 2 Xbox and PC.
How to Preload Stalker 2 on Xbox
When Stalker 2 went gold officially, the preload was available right away. So, if you want to preload the game on your Xbox console, you can do it right now. But before you do so, make sure you have 150 GB storage ready as it is the requirement for the preload.
Once you have it ready, pre-order the game from the Microsoft Store or Xbox Store, or get an Xbox Game Pass. After you make the purchase, follow the steps below to pre-load Stalker 2:
- Go to the home page of Xbox and search for Stalker 2.
- Click the Pre-Install button from the storefront.
- Once it is done, you can play the game on the release date.
How to Preload Stalker 2 on PC
While the game is already available for preload on the Xbox, from PC stores, you cannot do it. This was confirmed by a Reddit post that shows a chat from the official Discord of the game. According to a chat from the official Stalker 2 Discord, the PC stores will not have a preload. So, if you are getting the game from Steam, Epic Games, or GOG, you cannot pre-download the game.
Even if you are on the Xbox PC app, you will get a Pre-Install button but it will not download the game with an error message. The message will say that Stalker 2 is not available for download on the Windows version of the Xbox app yet. So our best bet is hold on tight till the devs see this bug.
