How to Get Renguko in Anime Vanguards
Unlike Alocard or Igris in Anime Vanguards, Renguko is an exclusive unit that you will not find in the normal banner summon. The only way to unlock Rengoku in the game is through raids. So, follow the step-by-step process below to learn how to get Renguko in Anime Vanguards:
- Clear all Story mode stages (18 stages) to unlock the Raids.
- Select the Spider Forest stage and complete all 3 acts to unlock the last act.
- Enter the Web Demon Act and complete it to get the Renguko unit.
Just remember, there is a 1% chance to get the Rengoku unit on clearance. Keep trying to clear this act to get Renguko.

Rengoku in Anime Vanguards can be a meta-changer. Being an exclusive unit in the game, his high damage output makes a lot of sense. Best Traits for Renguko in Anime Vanguards
Rengoku comes with one of the strongest passive abilities in Anime Vanguards. The burn damage passive alongside consecutive damage streak can be strong against the boss and stronger units. If you are looking for the best Anime Vanguards traits for Renguko then you must apply Blitz or Solar on him.
Blitz gives a massive attack speed boost while Solar can be an overall upgrade for Renguko in this game. However, if you’re lucky enough to roll Monarch using trait rerolls, which you can get using Anime Vanguard codes, use it on Rengoku. He gets significant benefits from this trait and can slay any type of enemy in a couple of slashes.
How to Get Evolved Renguko (Purgatory)
Once you have used Renguko enough, you can evolve him and get a much stronger variant called Renguko (Purgatory). In the game, the evolved version of Rengoku gets two additional passives – Purgatory Unleashed and Unwavering Focus. The former increases Burn damage equal to 60% of DMG and enemies hit by attacks are inflicted with Purgatory Flames, making them receive +40% Burn DMG. Whereas, the latter increases the DMG by 5% on consecutive attacks done to the same enemy up to 20%.
To get evolved Rengoku, aka Purgatory, you will need 15,000 in-game currency along with 14 Red, 13 Pink, and 14 Yellow essence, 40 Green essence, 4 Rainbow essence, and 1 Slayer’s Cape.
