Deadlock, the MOBA shooter made by Valve, is already peaking past its potential. I recently tried Deadlock, and it made my Dota 2 memories resurface in a good way. That said, as Deadlock is still in early development, certain features are locked in-game. In Deadlock, you can play matches only in your region during a certain window. Deadlock allows players to change the server region to matchmake and keep playing the game. Curious how? Learn how to change the server region in Deadlock in this guide.

Once you switch servers, the matchmaking will be open again, allowing you to play Deadlock to your heart’s content. However, do note that you might experience hit registration and rubber-banding on other servers due to ping spikes at times.

You can also use the option to change servers to play with friends who live in different regions. But, setting it to “automatic” will always select the best server region for better ping. You can bypass the matchmaking timer by switching to a different region.

Hence, if you want to play Deadlock after the matchmaking has ended in your region, changing the server is the best way. Have you tried the Deadlock playtest yet? If not, learn how to get an invite for Deadlock playtest in our guide here.
