The Wasteland, Hark Back Glory of Old Mission is one of the main Trailblazing missions of Amphoreus. This mission takes the Trailblazer, Phainon, and Mydei to Castrum Kremnos, in order to defeat the Strife Titan Nikador. The mission has multiple puzzles, so here I have provided a complete step-by-step guide on how to complete it. This mission guide includes the solution to all the puzzles you come across during this mission, so don’t worry if you are having trouble. Amphoreus Wasteland, Hark Back Glory of Old Quest Guide in HSR
The Wasteland, Hark Back Glory of Old mission in Amphoreus is quite long and I have divided it into 9 parts. So, here is all you need to know about finishing this mission:
Part 1: Head Into Castrum Kremnos
- Make your way into the Strife Ruins of Castrum Kremnos.
- Once you reach a broken bridge, use Oronyx’s Prayer to restore it. Get to the other side and interact with the lever to open the door. Get back down the broken bridge and go to the next area.
- Here Mydei will separate from the Trailblazer and Phainon, and they will start a game. Defeat all the Titankins on the way till you meet Mydei again to win the contest. The result only changes certain dialogues and doesn’t have any other consequences or rewards.
- Continue moving forward until you reach the chain bridge. Here you will have to finish the puzzle.
Part 2: Use the Prophecy Tablet To Shut the Thunderbolt
To cross the bridge without getting hit by the lightning, you will have to complete the Prophecy Tablet puzzle. You will have to overlap the fragments to create the pattern. Here is how you can solve the puzzle:
- Put the square block at the very middle of the pattern.
- Next, put the two triangle shaped blocks on either side of the square block, overlapping the middle block to create the pattern.
- After you have finished the puzzle, cross the bridge to head to the next area.
Part 3: Investigate the Safe Zone to Collect Information
- After you reach the next area, head to the table on the left and Investigate to pick up the Stone Tablet.
- Next, Investigate the area with the fruits and finally Investigate the Divine Echo to finish this area.
- Move to the next area now.
Part 4: Continue Deep Into Castrum Kremnos
- Go up the staircase on the right and interact with the Enhance Prayer. This will allow you to use Oronyx’s Prayer to rewind time continuously.
- Now go near the ball stuck before the door and rewind time to open the passage.
- Head to the next area until you reach the area corrupted by Black Tide. Ignore this area for now and head left to the next area.
- Continue moving upward until you find multiple Titankins blocking your way. Defeat them to progress the mission.
- Take a photo for March 7th and head backward toward the Prophecy Tablet.
Part 5: Use the Prophecy Tablet to Open the Door
Like earlier, now you have to use the Prophecy Tablet again to open the door for the next area. Here is how you can solve it:
- Use the smaller triangles to cover the above part of the pattern.
- Next, use the larger triangles at the bottom, overlapping each other.
- This will open the door to the next area.
- Make your way into the Castrum Kremnos by following the objective points.
Part 6: Solve the Mechanism of the Room and Continue Your Exploration
Once you enter the next room, you will have to use the big balls to break open the boxes blocking the next area. Here is how you can solve this puzzle:
- First, rewind the time to fix the first pillar that is blocking your way to the stairs.
- Head up the stairs to enable Oronyx’s Enhance Prayer. Now rewind the time for the ball to send it back to its original position.
- Now, use the other stairs to reach the second floor. Attack the ball holder there to open and destroy the crates that were blocking the next area.
- Head to the next area and continue making your way deep into Castrum Kremnos.
Part 7: Use Hand of Zagreus and Other Tools to Reach the Next Area
- Here you will be introduced to the Hand of Zagreus.
- Simply use the Hand of Zagreus as a bridge and then follow the quest ping to reach the lever for the blowing machine, which will be blocked by crates. Attack the ball placed above to make it drop and break the crates.
- Interact with the lever that will remove the balls blocking the way.
- You can also use the Hand of Zagreus to collect the Coins of Whimsy, but we have a dedicated guide for it so check it out instead.
- In the next area, you will finally meet Mydei. Here, depending on the Titankins you have defeated till now, you will either win or lose the challenge against him.
Part 8: Speak With The Titankin
- After meeting up with Mydei, Phainon will share the stone tablet with him, where they will learn about Nikador’s plan of destroying Okhema.
- Continue making your way until you find sensible Titankins. Speak with the Titankins and afterward decide to let them live or slay them. The choice you make changes Mydei’s response to you but doesn’t affect the character dynamics or the overall story.
- Defeat the last sensible Titankin to completely learn Nikador’s plans.
Part 9: Confront Strife Titan Nikador and Defeat Him
- After you reach the final area, you will come across the boss enemy “Savage God, Mad King, Incarnation of Strife”, which is the Titan Nikador who has lost himself.
- Defeat him in battle to learn that he is Immortal and cannot be killed, as he draws the Blade of Fury towards Kephale’s body.
- Mydei will choose to stop the Mad Titan alone in order to buy time, allowing Phainon and Trailblazer to head back and find the secret to Nikador’s immortal body.
- The mission will end here and the next mission “Night Veil, Shroud the Silent Past will start.
