Highguard features a decent variety of weapons, 13 to be specific, that all feel pretty distinct in action. When compared to other first-person shooters, the game’s weapons list isn’t the biggest by any means, but the limited selection actually works in favor of the experience. Whether you’re running an SMG or a Raid Tool, the differences will always be clear to see, making it essential to know which weapons are worth upgrading during the course of a match.

To save you the trouble of experimenting with every gun yourself, we’ve put in the legwork to understand how each of them fares in combat. And with that knowledge, we’ve put together a Highguard weapons tier list for you to check out.

Best Weapons in Highguard – Tier List

As mentioned at the start, Highguard features 13 weapons, three of which are more utility-based Raid Tools. We’ve ranked every weapon in the tier list given below:

• S-tier: The best Highguard weapons fall in this tier and are worth prioritizing from the moment you drop into a map.
• A-tier: Guns in this tier are still great overall, but not without specific shortcomings that prevent them from ascending into the top rank.
• B-tier: Weapons in the B-tier are strictly average or come with fire types that are an acquired taste. The best example is a burst assault rifle.
• C-tier: Lastly, weapons in the C-tier aren’t actually bad at all. Their ranking reflects their status as a utility or situational weapon since they’re known as Raid Tools in the game.

S-Tier Highguard Weapons

The creme of the crop, the best of the lot, etc. – these are the very best guns to use in Highguard, and sit at the top of our tier list.

Weapon Name	Overview
Vanguard	The Vanguard is a jack-of-all-trades AR that performs reliably in nearly every combat engagement. The weapon’s standout features are undoubtedly its precision and damage output, which also make it one of the most accessible guns in the game.
Kraken	The hefty shotgun has almost no versatility, but that’s not what you’ll be using it for anyway. The Kraken is a close-range decimator that eviscerates any player caught in its bullet spread. Easily the best CQB weapon in the game.
Big Rig	As advertised by the name, the Big Rig is a heavy LMG that boasts the highest magazine capacity of any weapon in the game. Pulling down the trigger unleashes a hail of bullets that chew through enemies and even damage structures with sustained fire. Of course, you’ll be sacrificing a bit of mobility for these traits, but the trade-off is worth it.

A-Tier Highguard Weapons

Guns in this tier are more than worth using, although you’ll have to contend with a few shortcomings that hold these weapons back.

Paladin	A standard automatic shotgun that trades raw damage for a faster rate of fire. The Kraken is slighlty better for CQB, but the Paladin is certainly more accessible.
Dynasty	Every first-person shooter needs a stand-in for the AK-47, and the Dynasty fulfills that role in Highguard. When compared to the Vanguard, you get higher damage but worse control – choose wisely.
Viper	Rapid-fire SMG with an incredibly satisfying reload animation. The Viper is seriously lethal at close-range, but its qualities fall apart the farther the enemy gets.

B-Tier Highguard Weapons

These Highguard weapons fulfill distinct roles or bring specific fire types to the table, so we can’t imagine them being popular among the wider playerbase.

Longhorn	Stylish six-shooter made up for players who enjoy popping heads using hand cannons. Unfortunately, the revolver’s reload speed and fire rate leave a lot to be desired, making it an awkward fit for Highguard’s fast-paced combat.
Saber Rifle	Burst AR with a strange downtime between rounds. Each burst is packed with damage, but missing shots will land you in a heap of trouble.
Ranger	The only sniper in the game, and it fills that role competently. However, you cannot score one-shot kills with it, immediately putting sniper mains at a disadvantage.
Corsair	A triple-barrelled burst SMG sounds amazing on paper, although the Cosair is hamstrung by limited ammo capacity as well as poor ranged performance.

C-Tier Highguard Weapons

As mentioned earlier, the C-tier belongs to Raid Tools, which are specialized weapons that can be purchased using Vesper in Highguard. They’re all quite useful in multiple different ways, and really show their worth during assaults on enemy bases.

Blast Hammer	Sledgehammer fitted with explosive cartridges that detonate on impact for extra blunt force destruction. Deletes both enemies and walls on impact.
Zipline Gun	Creates ziplines – as given away by the name. Facilities smooth traversal and creative positioning.
Rocket Launcher	Standard issue Rocket Launcher, great for blowing up base reinforcements, although damage on enemies is lacklustre.
