The most beloved farming game on Roblox, Grow a Garden, became much more interesting with the introduction of new cute pets. Not only will they roam around your garden, sitting and napping wherever they feel like, but they also come with unique traits. These traits will boost the progress of the crops in your garden, provide random chances for mutations, and many more buffs. Since there are a whole lot of animals, we have come up with a comprehensive list for the best pets in Grow a Garden, which will help you choose your companion.
Grow a Garden Pets Tier List: Overview

As of now, there are 29 pets in all of Grow a Garden, each coming with unique traits and buffs. A lot of them can provide you with excellent chances of getting fruit mutations and a rapid growth rate, while there are many others that provide minimal to less efficient qualities.
Accordingly, we have divided all of these pets into different categories, with S being the best of all because it provides the best passives for money making, while D is the worst because the pets in that category have the least usable traits.
S-Tier
The S-Tier consists of the greatest pets of all in Grow a Garden, including the Dragonfly, Raccoon, Mole, and others. Each of them has high-quality traits, where the Dragonfly can turn any random fruit to get a Gold mutation, the Raccoon can steal others’ harvest, while the Mole gifts you free cash or gear.
Pet Egg Type Trait Dragonfly Bug Egg Converts a random fruit to Gold Raccoon Night Egg Steals a random fruit from another player Giant Ant Bug Egg Chance to duplicate the harvested fruits Mole Night Egg Digs underground to get free gears and shekcles Praying Mantis Bug Egg Increases the mutation chance of the harvest Dow
A-Tier
Next at the A-Tier, we have a mix of the Legendary and the Bug eggs, and let me assure you that each of them has excellent qualities despite being a tier below the best ones. Among these, my favorite is the Cow that increases the speed of growth of all plants near it.
Other pets like the Sea Otter help water the nearby crops, increasing their speed and size, while the Silver Monkey can refund some fruits when sold at the Seller NPC. That said, here are all the pets in the A-Tier.
Pet Egg Type Trait Caterpillar Bug Egg Faster growth rate for Leafy plants in the radius Snail Bug Egg Increased chances of Lucky Harvest Echo Frog Night Egg A random plant’s growth will advance by 24 hours Cow Legendary Egg Increased growth rate of plants inside the radius Sea Otter Legendary Egg Waters the nearby plants Silver Monkey Legendary Egg Chances to refund fruits when sold
B-Tier
Since the B-tier lies in the middle, it consists of average pets with a few great passives. However, they can sometimes be limited to benefit a single crop. The Panda is the best example; eating only bamboo can increase its sale value by a small multiplier. Then, Turtles can be used to increase the sprinkler usage time, whereas Frogs can simply increase the growth rate of plants by 24 hours.
Pet Egg Type Trait Frog Night Egg A random plant’s growth will advance by 24 hours. Monkey Rare Egg Chances to refund fruits when sold Pig Rare Egg Increases the chances of mutation Turtle Legendary Egg Sprinklers last longer if its around Hedgehog Night Egg Gives all prickly fruits a 1.51 size boost Panda – Eats Bamboos and sells them at higher prices Polar Bear Legendary Egg Chance to convert nearby fruits to Chilled and Frozen
C-Tier
Coming down at the C-Tier, these pets are slightly better than the ones you can find from most common eggs in Grow a Garden. A few of the rare eggs belonging to this category are the most useful ones, like the Spotted Deer that can help in keeping the berries intact when harvested, and the Orange Tabby, which boosts fruit size when it naps around it.
Pet Egg Type Trait Kiwi Night Egg Reduces hatch time of eggs at regular intervals Rooster Rare Egg Reduces the hatch time of eggs Night Owl Night Egg All active pets gain an additional 0.22XP/s Spotted Deer Rare Egg Chance to make the berries stay even after harvesting Orange Tabby Rare Egg Increases the fruit size when it naps in its radius Cat Uncommon Egg Increases the fruit size when napping in its radius Chicken Uncommon Egg Decreases the hatch time of eggs Golden Lab Common Egg Chances to dig up a random seed
D-Tier
Finally, coming to the D-Tier, we have the worst pets of all that come with the least useful traits of all in the game. For instance, the Dog can help in finding a random seed, but most of the time, they aren’t that good or rare. The Deer lets the berries stay even when harvested. However, they sell for really low prices, and the bunnies can devour a carrot and sell them at a better price, which again is not good enough when you have better crops available.
Pet Egg Type Trait Dog Common Egg Chances of digging up a random seed Deer Uncommon Egg Chances of making the berries stay even after harvesting Black Bunny Uncommon Egg Eats a Carrot and increases its value Bunny Common Egg Eats a Carrot, increasing its value
And that ends our list of the best Grow a Garden pets. While the worst eggs can be used at the early stages, always aim to get better eggs in the game. So, which pet is your favorite, and what is the rarest you have unlocked in the game? Let us know in the comments below!
