The cooking event brought a brand-new item type to Grow a Garden, called food items. By using the food items, players could get the new Gourmet Seed packs, Gourmet Eggs, and exclusive rewards. In the Beanstalk event update, the cooking area is gone, but all cooking recipes in Grow a Garden work as intended. These food items can now be used to feed pets and make new gears in the game. So, let us not waste time and check out the cooking recipes in Grow a Garden. We also explain how you can use the Cooking kit in the game to make food right in your garden.
Editor’s Note: updated the post with new food items and recipes on August 16, 2025. We have also updated the way to cook food items in Grow a Garden.

How to Get the Cooking Kit and Make Food Items in Grow a Garden
Since Chris P, the gluttonous pig, has left the game, many of you might be wondering how you can still cook food items. Well, the answer to that lies in the Garden Guide. This new item introduces a bunch of achievements in Grow a Garden, some of which, on completion, give you the new Cooking Kit cosmetic.
This Cooking kit is similar to the cauldron and ingredient board that appeared in the center of the play area during the Cooking event. It is an interactive cosmetic item that you can place anywhere inside your plot. Once you place down the Cooking kit, you can simply submit fruits and plants to make all the cooking recipes in Grow a Garden.
That being said, there is a new cooking recipe in town, and you should make it first after putting down the Cooking kit. It’s the Corndog recipe, which is required to make the new Pet pouch item, thus increasing your pet inventory slots and saving your adorable pets from being sold.

Tips to Get Rewards Using Grow a Garden Recipes
Note: This section is outdated and based on the Cooking event. We will be updating it fresh, new content in a short while.
If you are getting only Sheckles and Reclaimers every time you give the Chris P NPC a food item, you must change things up. The rewards in higher tiers are more attractive than those in common, rare, or legendary. Here are a few tips and tricks you can follow to get Divine, Prismatic, or higher-tier rewards easily in Grow a Garden:
- Cook only high-tier food: The first thing you must remember about Chris P is that he loves food. So, if you want to satisfy him with a common item, the chances of getting better rewards are slim. That is why I suggest you go through our recipe list and cook the Prismatic or Divine items. If you don’t have the ingredients, go for the Mythical ones.
- Use bigger ingredients: As you know, the rarity of the food increases your chances of high-tier rewards; there is a way to increase the number of rewards you get. To improve that, you must use bigger crops, grown using sprinklers and gears in Grow a Garden, when cooking an item. This will result in a bigger food item, which will get you more rewards when you hit that higher tier.
- Save non-craving items: If you are cooking the wrong food items every now and then, there is no need to worry about it. Make sure you save them for later. Chris P changes his cravings every hour. So, there is a chance he will ask for the food you have cooked. Once you feed him the food he craves, you have a better chance at the Prismatic rewards, unless you are only making soup. Then you must follow our cooking recipes carefully.
- Divine Pie trick: This one is a fun trick but requires a lot of time tracking. As you know, most of the food items require Bone Blossoms, which might not be something everyone in the game has. Don’t worry, 1 Beanstalk and 1 Coconut make Divine Pie. Both ingredients are available at the Seed Shop easily. Once you have them, make as many of them as you can. Now, whenever Chris P craves pie, just throw them all at once at him.
That concludes our Grow a Garden cooking recipe guide, including all the ingredients and rewards. Have you started crafting your magic on the cooking pot already? Share your menu in the comments below.
