Nicole is the first playable Hexenzirkle mage in Genshin Impact, and she has played a big role in the Nod-Krai Archon quest. Everyone in the community loves Nicole, but will that feeling carry over for her playable character? Learn the best Genshin Impact Nicole build from our guide here, alongside whether she is worth pulling or not in the game.

Genshin Impact Nicole Build

Nicole is a versatile character, but you still need to use her properly to get the best out of her kit. She is featured in the Genshin Impact banners, so you should learn her best build now. So, here is how you should build Nicole in Genshin Impact:

TypeInformation
WeaponAngelos’ Heptades
ArtifactCelestial Gift
Main StatsSands: ATK%
Goblet: ATK%
Circlet: ATK%
Sub StatsER > ATK% > Flat ATK

Nicole is primarily a support, with the ability to buff ATK and Pyro damage for her allies. To build Nicole, start by grabbing her signature weapon, Angelos’ Heptades, and use the Celestial Gift Artifact set. For stats, focus on ATK% for her main stats, and try to hit 200% ER first with sub-stats, before putting everything else in ATK% and Flat ATK.

She is a very strong character, but check our Genshin Impact tier list to check her exact position in the current meta. Want more alternatives for her build? Look at the sections below. However, don’t forget to grab Genshin Impact codes first to get free primogems for this update.

Nicole Weapons

  • Angelos’ Heptades
  • Starcaller’s Watch
  • Skyward Atlas
  • Memory of Dust
  • Crane’s Echoing Call
  • Oathsworn Eye
  • Flowing Purity
  • Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers

Nicole has some really good weapon options, with Angelos’ Heptades being her first choice. She prefers weapons that provide ATK or ER buffs, alongside increasing Elemental or Pyro damage. For 5-star alternatives, you can use Starcaller’s Watch, Skyward Atlas, Crane’s Echoing Call, and Memory of Dust.

For 4-star or F2P-friendly options, you should go for Oathsworn Eye as the primary choice. Flowing Purity can also be a decent option, while Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers is great for meeting her ER requirement.

Nicole Artifacts

  • Celestial Gift
  • Noblesse Oblige
  • 2-piece ATK sets

Celestial Gift is the best-in-slot artifact for Nicole. It is a Hexerei-focused set, which buffs all allies in the party with a 40% Elemental Damage boost if two or more Hexerei characters are in the team. The base 2-piece effect also gives ER, making it perfect for Nicole.

For alternatives, you can use Noblesse Oblige or any 2-piece ATK sets. However, we only recommend using the Celestial Gift artifact set on Nicole.

Nicole Teams

Nicole has a ton of team options, but she excels best with other Hexerei characters. You need at least one other Hexerei character with Nicole to get the best out of her, so Durin becomes an obvious choice for all her teams.

Nicole is a really good support character for most Pyro-focused teams in the game that scale on ATK. She can easily fit with Emilie in Burning teams or support Arlecchino in her hypercarry teams. But her best team would be playing alongside Varka, which is the best Hexerei-focused team currently in the game.

Nicole Pros and Cons in Genshin Impact

So, should you pull for Nicole or not? To find out that answer, check Nicole’s Pros and Cons from our table below:

ProsCons
Strong Pyro buffRestricted to Hexerei Teams
Good sub-DPS capabilityBuffs fall off greatly without other Hexerei characters

Overall, Nicole has not lived up to her hype as a playable character. She is greatly restricted to Hexerei teams, and her buffs fall off a lot without another Hexerei ally. Even in a Hexerei team, she is not a meta-defining character like Columbina or Linnea, which drops her value further in the game.

I would personally recommend skipping Nicole, as she is not a necessity to any Genshin Impact teams, other than maybe Varka. Her buffs are nothing groundbreaking, and with Snezhanaya coming soon, I would suggest saving your Primogems.
