After a bunch of leaks, Samsung has today launched the Galaxy Watch Active 2 — the latest smartwatch offering from the South Korean giant comes with a bigger screen, a fresh look, and a lot more.
As expected, the new Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes with a touch-sensitive bezel so users can now just move their finger along the bezel of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 and scroll through menus. This was one of the biggest complaints people had with the Galaxy Watch Active, and Samsung has fixed that at the very least.
With the Galaxy Watch Active 2, Samsung is offering an LTE variant of the watch as well, which will let users use the watch independent of their smartphone. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be available in both Bluetooth and LTE variants in 40mm and 44mm case sizes. There are also options in material — stainless steel, and aluminium.
One of the cool features in the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is called ‘My Style’. With this feature, users can simply snap a picture of their outfit for the day, and the Galaxy Watch Active 2 automatically sets a watch face according to the colour palette.
Apart from that, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes with all the fitness features you may need including the ability to track runs, swimming, walking, cycling, rowing, elliptical trainer, and other workouts.
The watch can also measure stress levels, and heart rate and send alerts if the user’s heart rate goes out of the normal range.
Apart from all of that, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is IP68 rated and is 5ATM water-resistant, so that’s great. Samsung has currently not announced the pricing for the Galaxy Watch Active 2 or the availability, but you can read all about the new smartwatch on Samsung’s website.
