What is a Fortnite Match Override?
A Fortnite Match Override is an in-game event, just like a Rift Anomaly in Chapter 7 Season 4. It appears occasionally at one of the eight locations on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 map, and you can head to that location and interact with a giant machine called an Override Console to activate it.
Once a Match Override has been activated in Fortnite, it provides in-game buffs to you and your team or to every player in that Battle Royale match. The effect disappears once you’re eliminated or the Fortnite match ends. Don’t confuse it with Fortnite Lobby Hack Codes, which instead give you permanent rewards and benefits.

How to Use Cartridge Hacks to Activate a Match Override in Fortnite
During a Fortnite match, keep an eye out for an Anomaly that activates a console and prompts a Cartridge icon on your map. When it occurs, a marker appears, pointing you towards the active Override Console.
This can be anywhere on the island, so you can use the Sonic Power Sneakers in Fortnite to cover the distance with ease. When you arrive at an Override Console in Fortnite, here’s what you’ll need to do to activate it:
- Keep an eye out for an Anomaly that appears and marks an Override Console on the Fortnite island.
- Look for the Override Console tag on your screen and go towards it.
- Defeat the guards at the Override Console to interact with it.
- Select one of the three Cartridge Hacks available at the Override Console in Fortnite and activate it.
- Depending on the Cartridge Hack used, the entire lobby or just your squad receives the perks.
Keep in mind that Fortnite Cartridge Hacks that grant only you or your squad a bonus also highlight your location on the map. Every player in the lobby gets a general idea of where to find you on the island. Consider obtaining a few mythic weapons in Fortnite to even out the odds should enemy players rush you.
