However, now that Super Showdown has been done and dusted, if you missed it, we’ve got the full recap for you right here.

Is the Fortnite Live Event Over?

Yes, the Super Showdown Fortnite Live Event is now over. The event began at 2:30 PM ET and ran for 7 minutes long with cinematic and gameplay elements.

There was no separate playlist for the event, and players instead loaded up in a standard Battle Royale or Zero Build match. However, damage of any kind was disabled in Demon’s Domain POI, so players weren’t able to damage one another. Furthermore, the storm circle stopped shrinking as it came closer to Demon’s Domain, setting the perfect stage for players to experience the live event.

Fortnite Super Showdown Live Event Full Recap

The Fortnite Super Showdown live event closed Chapter 6 Season 3 with a thrilling spectacle at Demon’s Domain. The event began with Daigo, the season’s villain, floating above the citadel and revealing his intention to use the mask’s powers.

He collected energy from the surrounding spires, unleashing a powerful beam that destroyed Demon’s Domain and summoned a giant tentacle from the ground. Players fought alongside Supernova Academy heroes Morgan Myst, Storm Beast, Ziggy, Synthwave, Killswitch, and Lightrider against the tentacle.

As it was destroyed, three others appeared, endangering the island. Superman then came, using his powers to substantially eliminate the tentacles and save the island. He smiled as he departed, leaving the island transformed but safe. However, before he departed, one tentacle, decapitated, was left behind near Demon’s Domain.

Where to Investigate the Tentacle on Fortnite Island

After the live event, Demon’s Domain POI is now completely destroyed and contains ruins of Daigo’s palace around the area.

If you’re logging into Fortnite now, you’ll also see a new quest named Investigate the Tentacle in the Quests tab. The Tentacle referred here is the one Superman decapitated during the live event. To find it, simply land east of Demon’s Domain, and you’ll see a deflated Tentacle with blood oozing out of it.

Furthermore, you’ll see the new UNSC Spartans Red and Blue skins from Halo in the news feed with a message, “Shock ‘N Awesome coming August 7. Investigate the start of the bug invasion in Battle Royale, and ready up for the fight against the insect adversaries on August 7!”

This confirms that a bug invasion theme is indeed coming to Fortnite in Chapter 6 Season 4 as players eagerly wait for it to arrive. The news feed post also confirms the Halo skins coming to the Battle Pass that players will soon be able to purchase in the game.
