Now, Epic is gearing up for the return of Fortnite Lantern Fest, the yearly in-game event that celebrates Ramadan. This year’s Ramadan event will bring a lot of content to Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1, and here’s everything we know about it so far.
When Does Fortnite Lantern Fest Event Start?

The event typically aligns with the lunar calendar for Ramadan, and Epic Games is integrating this year’s Lantern Fest into the broader Fortnite Love and Legends roadmap. Most activities and Item Shop cosmetics related to Lantern Fest are expected to stick around until the first week of March, giving players ample time to join the celebrations with their V-Bucks.
Fortnite Lantern Fest Skins and Gameplay Changes
The Lantern Fest event in 2026 will be much bigger in scale compared to earlier iterations, with Epic especially placing focus on the Reload mode. The Love and Legends roadmap revealed that Reload will receive a brand new Lantern Fest map as part of its rotation. Additionally, Epic will be enabling teams of 8 players for Reload, making for unprecedented chaos in this fast-paced mode.
While the developers keep specific Item Shop designs and releases under wraps until the last second, previous Lantern Fests suggest that players can expect the return of skins like Anwar and Noorah in the Fortnite Item Shop. These skins have become a staple of Ramadan celebrations in Fortnite, adorned with intricate lunar patterns.
Apart from returning skins, Epic has also teased a brand new skin for this year’s Lantern Fest. While not much is known about the upcoming outfit, there is a possibility that it could be a free Fortnite skin that players can acquire through the Lantern Fest Cup.
