Did The Fortnite Live Event Already Happen? Dark Voyager Story Moment Recap

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 is nearing its epic finale, and things on the island are getting stranger than ever before. This season’s antagonist, the Dark Voyager, has spent almost the entirety of the season hunting for Zero Point Shards (also known as Rift Shards) across the island and the realities.

While his greater purpose is unknown, in the latest Chapter 7 Season 2 Showdown trailer, he was seen visiting the Sprite homeworld and stealing a shard from there. Leading up to those events, Epic announced a Story Moment live event that would take place in Battle Royale. What Happened in the Fortnite Dark Voyager Story Moment Live Event? Full Recap

The Fortnite Dark Voyager Story Moment Live Event took place in-game on March 19, 2026, at 3:30 PM ET / 12:30 PM PT in Battle Royale game mode. Players dropped onto the Lethal Labs POI and were granted damage immunity shortly before the event began.

The storm also stopped closing in, and the final zone was at Lethal Labs to avoid any player elimination. Soon, the Dark Voyager’s ship started charging up a powerful beam, pointing downward to the exposed Zero Point, and fired three beams at it. Since the Dark Voyager already has three Zero Point Shards and requires four more to complete his mission, his ship only had enough power for three powerful charges to be shot at Zero Point to get the locations of three out of the four shards.

Suddenly, the Zero Point exploded and opened Rift Gates around the Chapter 7 Season 1 map, revealing new locations on the other side of the current reality. As per fans, these are locations, or rather POIs, of the next Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 map. Then once the gates were opened, the Dark Voyager’s ship powered down and is now in a hibernation state.

Where to Find Rift Gates on Fortnite Map

There are three Rift Gates you’ll be able to find on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 map that were opened during the Dark Voyager live event. They are located in the following locations that contain a Zero Point Shard and the new POIs coming in next season:

• Zero Point Shard at Ice Castle POI – Located at Clawsy Lodge
• Zero Point Shard at Rocky Hills POI – Located at Classified Canyon
• Zero Point Shard at Ocean Themed POI – Located at Bumpy Bay
