Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is chock full of all kinds of bosses. While the late-game ones are especially hard, early ones aren’t such a piece of cake either. One such Elden Ring DLC boss is Rellana, Twin Moon Knight. This deadly knight packs a twin greatsword combo that is devastating. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight Location in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Much like the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, finding Rellana Twin Moon Knight in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is simple. You will find Rellana in the Castle Ensis legacy dungeon. Hence, to fight her, you have to complete the Castle Ensis in its entirety. Fortunately, it isn’t difficult, as Castle Ensis is as straightforward as possible.

Once you defeat Moonrithyl Carian Knight, it is just a straight road through the castle toward the boss room. After defeating a few Castle Knights and Black Knights, you’ll reach an elevator, which will take you to your following Site of Grace, Castle Lord’s Chamber. Right in front of Castle Lord’s Chamber, you will find Rellana, Twin Moon Knight waiting for you.

Rellana, Twin Moon Knight Weaknesses

As luck would have it, Rellana isn’t weak toward any magic attacks. This will cause quite an issue for players that are running magic builds. Elden Ring intelligence builds players however can use magic that deals different element damage. However, do avoid using any sorcery or incantation that does magic damage.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree strength players are in luck though. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight can take physical and bleed damage upon hit. So, carefully put pressure on her by either summoning a Spirit Ash or skillfully dodging and patiently hitting her. You’ll have a much easier time defeating Rellana, granted you are patient enough.

How to Defeat Rellana, Twin Moon Knight in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Now that we know her weaknesses, let’s look at how to defeat her. Now, for this boss, you can summon two different NPCs – One is Needle Knight Leda, and the other is Dryleaf Dane. Additionally, you can summon your Spirit Ash to the fight, like a Mimic Tear Ash.

However, keep in mind that with each summon, the health of the boss scales, taking you longer to defeat them. With that in mind, let’s look at some tips to defeat Rellana, Twin Moon Knight.

How to Fight Rellana, Twin Moon Knight in Phase 1

• Summon only one NPC for assistance: As mentioned, you can summon two different NPCs alongside your Spirit Ash. Hence, I suggest summoning one of the two NPCs for assistance if you find the initial fight difficult. I prefer using Leda, as she fights Rellana using her sword, dealing physical damage. Pair it up with your bleed build or a Spirit Ash, and you’ll be doing a lot of damage.
• Wear Magic/Fire Protection Armor: Rellana is a magic and fire-based boss who will use her sword to deal magic and fire damage to you in the latter half of the game. Hence, consider wearing armor with better protection against magic or fire damage. Prioritize the one you need.
• Dodge her Glintblade Phalanx: The familiar Glintblade Phalanx from Raya Lucaria returns with Rellana Twin Moon Knight. She’ll use Glintblade Phalanx to summon five magic blades, which come hurling toward you. Hence, dodge sideways to avoid getting hit by those.
• Careful of those Glintstone Arcs: Rellana can also throw Glintstone Arcs towards you if you keep a long distance. Getting hit by it will deal magic damage; hence, dodge sideways when they come slashing toward you.
• Roll towards Rellana during the attacks: When Rellana Twin Moon Knight physically attacks you, her invincibility frames appear. That is easy to figure out when you fight her for the first time. Hence, dodge towards her when she’s using her blade flurry.

How to Fight Rellana, Twin Moon Knight in Phase 2

Once you’ve chopped out a considerable amount of health off of Rellana, she’ll shift to her second phase. Here, she imbues one of her swords with magic while the other sword gets imbued with fire. So, here is what to remember while fighting Rellana Twin Moon Knight in her second phase.

• Look out for the magic Carian Greatsword summon: Rellana can summon a Carian Greatsword, which she slams on the ground and spins 360 degrees. This will damage you with magic and sometimes even instantly kill you. Hence, the best way to avoid getting hit is to roll sideways exactly when the blade comes slashing.
• Look out for her aggressive melee attacks: In the second phase, Rellana’s attacks become much more assertive, dealing fire and magic damage, respectively. Unfortunately, there’s not much we can do here. While the IFrames still exist, they are much tighter. Hence, carefully dodge and patiently attack her.
• Be careful of the spinning explosive combo: Rellana sometimes ends her attacks with a spinning explosive combo, which she calls a vortex of fire and fire geysers around her near vicinity. The best way to avoid this is to dodge it and well, pray.
• Keep an eye out on the Twin Moon attacks: This is the highlight of the second phase of Rellana. Rellana will float in the air, summoning two moons that deal AoE damage across the boss room. Finally, Rellana will crash and deal with a final AoE. The best way to avoid it is to time your jumps. Alternatively, if you can put space between Rellana and yourself, you can time and roll to avoid the AoE.

If you carefully follow these two tips through the two phases, you can defeat Rellana Twin Moon Knight in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and progress to the next area of the Shadow Realm Map.

Rellana Twin Moon Knight Boss Fight Reward

Finishing Rellana’s boss fight rewards you with the Remembrance of the Twin Moon Knight. You can exchange this at Enia to either buy yourself Rellana’s Twinblade, two-handed magic/fire sword, or the Twin Moon attack Rellana does, allowing you to cause AoE damage to your opponents now. Additionally, you’ll receive 240,000 runes for your hard work, enabling you to level up and progress.
