Learn about each of the legendary weapons in detail from the subsections below.
1. Sword of Night and Flame

- Weapon Art: Night-and-Flame Stance
- Affinity: Fire and Magic
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of Night and Flame
The Sword and Knight Sword deals both Magic and Fire damage. It is one of the best-looking weapons in the game, and both of its weapon art variants are pretty strong. This weapon is best for Wylder and powerful against Fire or Magic weakened Night Lords in Elden Ring Nightreign.
2. Marais Executioner’s Sword

- Weapon Art: Eochaid’s Dancing Blade
- Affinity: Magic
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of House Marais
Marai’s Executioner’s sword is the weapon used by the Bell-bearing Hunter. Although its weapon art was instrumental in PvP in Elden Ring, it doesn’t really work that well in the PvE scenario of Nightreign. The weapon still has good stats and does a pretty good amount of damage with its passive increasing Attack power after defeating enemies.
3. Blasphemous Blade

- Weapon Art: Taker’s Flames
- Affinity: Fire
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Blasphemous
Blasphemous Blade is arguably one of the strongest weapons in Nightreign, just like it was back in Elden Ring. The weapon art of the Blasphemous Blade is insanely strong and perfect for taking down any bosses in the game. Grab some FP shards and start spamming the weapon art on enemies constantly.
4. Golden Order Greatsword

- Weapon Art: Establish Order
- Affinity: Holy
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Golden Order
The Golden Order Greatsword is a majestic-looking weapon that does a ton of Holy damage. The weapon’s passive lets it heal all ailments and dispel all temporary effects while using charge attacks. However, the weapon art is not that great for this weapon, and it takes a lot of time to execute.
5. Dark Moon Greatsword

- Weapon Art: Moonlight Greatsword
- Affinity: Magic
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of Dark Moon
Dark Moon Greatsword has always been considered one of the best weapons in Elden Ring, and it hasn’t changed in Nightreign as well. The weapon art imbues frost on the weapon and lets it shoot out freezing waves that deal a ton of damage. This weapon also increases Magic damage and decreases the Magic damage negation of bosses.
6. Sacred Relic Sword

- Weapon Art: Wave of Gold
- Affinity: Holy
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Golden Order
Sacred Relic Sword is perfect for defeating multiple enemies at once, making it one of the best rune farming weapons in the game. The weapon’s passive also lets it fire holy projectiles with charged attacks without consuming FP.
7. Grafted Blade Greatsword

- Weapon Art: Oath of Vengeance
- Affinity: None
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of Vengeance
The Grafted Blade Greatsword is one of the best hard-hitting swords in the game. It does a ton of stagger damage to enemies, and its weapon art temporarily increases all the character’s stats. The best part about this legendary weapon in Nightreign is its passive, which enhances all attributes upon defeating enemies, and the effect accumulates over time. Overall, this weapon is perfect for hard-hitting characters like Raider and Wylder.
8. Ruins Greatsword

- Weapon Art: Wave of Destruction
- Affinity: Magic
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of Destruction
The Ruins Greatsword is the perfect ranged and close-range weapon in the game. Its weapon art launches a devastating wave of attack, dealing a ton of damage like the Blasphemous Blade. Its passive is pretty cool at close range, as it makes charged attacks deal additional instances of gravitational damage.
9. Starscourge Greatsword

- Weapon Art: Starcaller Cry
- Affinity: Magic
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of Starscourge
Starscourge Greatsword is Radahn’s weapon from Elden Ring, and it continues to be one of the coolest-looking weapons in the game. The weapon art of this weapon is pretty useless against Night Lords, but great for farming enemies in camps. Also, the weapon has a new passive that creates an instance of gravitational pull while doing its first two-handed combo.
10. Maliketh’s Black Blade

- Weapon Art: Destined Death
- Affinity: Holy
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of Destined Death
Maliketh’s Black Blade is one of the best boss-shredding weapons in Nightreign. Its weapon art shreds any boss, huge bosses, when all of its attacks properly hit the target. The Weapon art also reduces the Max HP of the enemy, and the new passive makes the weapon deal additional lingering damage on hit.
11. Dragon King’s Cragblade

- Weapon Art: Thundercloud Form
- Affinity: Lightning
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Dragonlord
Dragon King’s Cragblade is one of the weaker Legendary Weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign. The weapon does a good amount of Lightning damage, but its weapon art is tough to use. Similarly, the weapon’s passive also feels useless, even though it looks cool, as you don’t want to jump attack with this weapon in normal circumstances.
12. Eclipse Shotel

- Weapon Art: Death Flare
- Affinity: Holy
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of Despair
Eclipse Shotel is one of the most insane weapons in Nightreign. Its weapon art imbues it with Black Flame, and additional inputs cause a black flame explosion, perfect for hitting bosses. But the wildest part about this weapon is its passive, which makes attacked enemies more likely to die regardless of remaining HP. This passive likely doesn’t work on bosses, but it is still great for taking out normal enemies in the game.
13. Morgott’s Cursed Sword

- Weapon Art: Cursed-Blood Slice
- Affinity: None
- Status Ailment: Bleed
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Omen King
Morgott’s Cursed Sword is my favorite Legendary weapon in the game. It deals excellent damage while also applying Bleed to enemies. Furthermore, the weapon art is extremely cool and can quickly stagger most enemies in the game with repeated hits.
14. Hand of Malenia

- Weapon Art: Waterfowl Dance
- Affinity: None
- Status Ailment: Bleed
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Undefeated
The iconic weapon of Malenia makes a return to Nightreign, featuring the same weapon art we have all been victims of in the past. Sadly, the weapon art is pretty useless against big bosses in Nightreign. However, the weapon deals good Bleed damage and its passive makes attacks after receiving damage partially recover HP, which is pretty good on characters like Executor.
15. Winged Greathorn

- Weapon Art: Soul Stifler
- Affinity: None
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Ancestral Spirit
Winged Greathorn is a decent weapon that lowers nearby enemies’ damage negation on rare occasions. Its weapon art also reduces the damage negation of close-range enemies, but it is much harder to use during a boss battle. Thankfully, the weapon does good damage, so it can be a decent pick for hard-hitting characters.
16. Axe of Godric

- Weapon Art: I Command Thee, Kneel!
- Affinity: None
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Golden Lineage
Axe of Godric is a really good weapon for AoE clearing enemies. Its weapon art deals really good AoE damage in a wide range and is great for staggering enemies. Furthermore, its new passive also creates a small earthquake when using a charged attack without consuming any FP. One bad thing about this weapon is how slow it sometimes feels while fighting Night Lords.
17. Marika’s Hammer

- Weapon Art: Gold Breaker
- Affinity: Holy
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Queen
Marika’s hammer is among the best holy weapons in the game. It has a good attack speed and deals a ton of damage. The weapon art is majestic, and it can deal a good amount of AoE damage to enemies. It’s passive also lets it create holy shockwaves with charged attacks.
18. Bastard’s Stars

- Weapon Art: Nebula
- Affinity: Magic
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Lightless Void
Bastard’s Stars is a really cool weapon with a strong weapon art that deals really good damage in a close area. The weapon scales very well with magic, so it can also be used on Recluse and Revenant. The best part about this weapon is its passive, which causes random explosions when hitting enemies. It is equipped as a two-handed weapon.
19. Devourer’s Scepter

- Weapon Art: Devourer of Worlds
- Affinity: Fire
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Blasphemous
Devourer’s Scepter is another one of Rykard’s weapons, and this one is perfect for getting your health back. The weapon art of this weapon steals the health of all nearby enemies, saving your flasks for the more important battles. Furthermore, its passive restores HP upon defeating enemies, which is also pretty good. The weapon itself hits hard and is perfect for the Raider.
20. Axe of Godfrey

- Weapon Art: Axe of Godfrey
- Affinity: None
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the First Lord
The Axe of Godfrey is one of the best weapons for staggering enemies in the game. Its weapon art releases an AoE shockwave that cannot be blocked, raising the equipped character’s attack power. Furthermore, using charged attacks after activation also changes to lunging attacks.
21. Bolt of Gransax

- Weapon Art: Ancient Lightning Spear
- Affinity: Lightning
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Great Ancient Dragon
Bolt of Gransax is another very strong weapon in Nightreign, especially good against Night Lords, who are weak to Lightning damage. The weapon art fires an ancient lightning spear at enemies, making it the perfect mixture of ranged and close combat weapons. This weapon is excellent on Revenant as it scales with Faith and lets her deal good damage from a distance.
22. Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear

- Weapon Art: Waterfowl Dance
- Affinity: Fire
- Status Ailment: Bleed
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Blood Lord
Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear continues to be the most broken weapon in Elden Ring. The weapon art deals continuous bleed damage to nearby enemies, absolutely shredding most bosses alone. The base weapon also deals a good amount of Fire and Bleed damage, and having blood loss in the vicinity increases the Attack power of the weapon.
23. Giant’s Red Braid

- Weapon Art: Flame Dance
- Affinity: None
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Giant
Giant’s Red Braid is good for dealing a ton of Fire damage to enemies weak to it, but other than that, the weapon doesn’t feel great to use. The attack rate is fairly slow, and the damage is also nothing too outstanding. The only thing going for the weapon is its AoE weapon art, which can deal good damage when facing multiple enemies.
24. Grafted Dragon

- Weapon Art: Bear Witness!
- Affinity: Fire
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Flying Dragon
Grafted Dragon is also one of the weaker legendary weapons in the game and has few use cases. Like the Giant’s Red Braid, this weapon also depends on its weapon art, but it doesn’t deal enough damage for you to consider using it on most characters.
25. Lion Greatbow

- Weapon Art: Radahn’s Rain
- Affinity: None
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the General
The Lion Greatbow is the only Legendary bow in the game, but it is pretty much useless for Iron Eye. The weapon is very slow to use, whereas Iron Eye prefers doing multiple shots within a short duration. The weapon does have decent art, but it is mostly useful against larger bosses. Overall, you are much better off using an epic short or long bow on Iron Eye than this legendary weapon.
26. Carian Regal Scepter

- Weapon Art: Renala’s Full Moon and Glintstone Arc
- Affinity: Magic
- Status Ailment: None
- Equipped Passive: Power of the Full Moon
Carian Regal Scepter is the only legendary staff in the game, and it is absolutely broken. The weapon comes with Rennala’s Full Moon and Glintstone Arc as weapon arts, both of which deal a ton of damage. Furthermore, the passive for the weapon can dispel incoming spells and incantations while casting spells, then retaliating with Glintblades. This weapon is a clear favorite for Recluse!
How to Get Legendary Weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign
In Elden Ring Nightreign, legendary weapons can be found in boss loot. When a legendary weapon drops as loot, the loot box will turn golden. Now, there are no sure-shot ways to get legendary weapons as drops, but you have a higher chance of getting them from defeating elite-level field bosses. Besides that, try clearing the bosses in Shifting Earth Events, which also appear to have a higher chance of Legendary loot.
The only way to get a guaranteed legendary weapon is by completing the Shifting Earth: The Crater Event. At the end of this event, you can upgrade any of your weapons to legendary rarity. However, you cannot get any of the unique legendary weapons listed above in this way; you can only upgrade your equipped weapon to its legendary variant.
So, these are all the legendary weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign, along with how to get them. Which one is your favorite so far from the list? Tell us in the comments below.
