With a new football season on the horizon, fans once again look forward to yet another installment in the EA Sports FC franchise. We are getting EA FC 26 now, and this year’s iteration appears to be trying its hardest to fix last year’s gameplay woes. EA Sports is touting important tweaks to passing and dribbling, alongside a much-needed goalkeeper AI overhaul. But of course, at the heart of the experience are the many footballers lending their likeness to the game. EA FC 26 is sure to shake up last year’s player ratings in some interesting ways. And ahead of the official database release, we’ve put together our carefully calculated (and totally unbiased) EA FC 26 player ratings predictions.
EA FC 26 Highest Rated Players (Predictions)

We have shared our predictions for the 25 highest-rated players in EA FC 26 below, taking into account their 24/25 campaigns and FC 25 ratings:
Rank Player Name Club Position FC 26 Rating (Prediction) 1 Kylian Mbappe Real Madrid ST 91 2 Rodri Manchester City CDM 91 3 Aitana Bonmati Barcelona Femeni CM 91 4 Erling Haaland Manchester City ST 90 (-1) 5 Mohammed Salah Liverpool RW 90 (+1) 6 Virgil van Dijk Liverpool CB 90 (+1) 7 Jude Bellingham Real Madrid CM 90 8 Alexia Putellas Barcelona CM 90 9 Harry Kane Bayern Munich ST 90 10 Caroline Graham Hansen Barcelona Femeni RW 90 11 Vinicius Jr Real Madrid LW 89 (-1) 12 Alisson Liverpool GK 89 13 Gianluigi Donnarumma PSG GK 89 14 Thibaut Courtois Real Madrid GK 89 15 Lautaro Martinez Lombardia FC (Inter Milan) ST 89 16 Sophia Smith Portland Thorns ST 89 17 Bukayo Saka Arsenal RW 88 (+1) 18 Declan Rice Arsenal CDM 88 (+1) 19 Ousmane Dembele PSG RW 88 (+2) 20 Martin Ødegaard Arsensal CM 88 (-1) 21 Federico Valverde Real Madrid CM 88 22 Florian Wirtz Liverpool CAM 88 23 Robert Lewandowski Barcelona ST 88 24 Guro Reiten Chelsea Women LM 88 25 Patri Guijarro Barcelona Femeni CDM 88
The usual suspects sit at the top of the list, with Kylian Mbappe, Rodri, and Aitana Bonmati expected to retain their ratings from last year. In the Frenchman’s case, his goal tally helps smooth out the lack of major silverware, while an injury-stricken season for Rodri should see the midfielder hold on to the highest rating in the game.
Sitting right below them are the likes of Erling Haaland, who failed to meet his own astronomical standards last season, hence the downgrade. Next, we have Mo Salah, who should receive a rating boost given his Premier League triumph. His Liverpool teammate, Virgil van Dijk, is also likely to join the 90-rated club in EA FC 26— beware Ultimate Team attackers. Despite a middling campaign, we expect Jude Bellingham to remain 90-rated as well, considering he’s the game’s cover star.
Other EA FC 26 rating downgrades to take note of include Vincius Jr, who should’ve been the highest-rated player last year, but a poor campaign will likely see the Brazilian fall to 89. The Arsenal trio of Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, and Martin Ødegaard are sure to see some shake-ups, with the former two likely to receive boosts, while the Norwegian suffers a downgrade.
Both Saka and Rice delivered impressive individual campaigns, which place them in line for an upgrade, whereas Ødegaard struggled to replicate last year’s brilliance, especially after his mid-season injury.
The biggest upgrade on the list belongs to Ballon d’Or frontrunner Ousmane Dembele. The PSG talisman’s imperious campaign could see his rating climb to 89, but we’re sticking with a safe bet at 88.
Rounding out our predictions list is Liverpool’s big-money superstar, Florian Wirtz, who will likely retain his FC 25 rating. The same goes for Barcelona frontman Robert Lewandowski, who conjured up a solid goal tally, but we don’t expect an FC 26 ratings boost for his efforts.
Keep in mind that these ratings are not official, but we will be sure to update this list as soon as the confirmed ratings are shared by EA. Until then, let us know your thoughts about our EA Sports FC 26 player ratings predictions.
