The removal of fall damage goes hand-in-hand with the game’s enhanced movement mechanics. Unlike Elden Ring, character movement in Nightreign isn’t just limited to dashing and rolling, as Nightfarers can boost their movement speed via a Surge Sprint or mantle up cliffs and ledges at a rapid rate. Nightreign also features the Spirit Springs that could only be used with the help of Torrent previously. But players can now interact with them to quickly gain a ton of elevation without needing their faithful steed.

On top of this, the game also has new additions named Spectral Hawks. These blue birds essentially function as gliders and carry the Nightfarer into Limveld at the start of every day. Despite flying at high altitudes, players can safely dispatch from Spectral Hawks and land on the ground without suffering any fall damage.
