Dig Early Game Shovels
Toy Shovel
You start with the default Wooden Shovel in Dig that does the job for the tutorial. After you’re done with the tutorial, head to the merchant and obtain either the Toy Shovel or the Training Shovel. If you are acing the minigame, then prefer Toy Shovel. For players who struggle with the minigame, Training Shovel will be a savior, with much better control.

Ruby Shovel
From there, go to Cinder Shores, west of Fox Town on the map. Here, you will find Cindy’s shop with two new shovels: Bell Shovel and Ruby Shovel. Save up and get the Ruby Shovel for much better control and strength.

This is the first expensive shovel you should splurge on, since it will get you through the initial money-making and progression. However, if you wish to save your money, you can defeat the King Crab to get the Abyssal Shovel for free. It has the worst Haste in the game, so if you have mastered the art of Strong hits, this shovel will easily carry you to the mid-game, with the right charms, though.
Dig Mid Game Shovels
Jam Shovel
Using the rods above, grind till you are level 15 and save $20,000 for the Jam Shovel, and $2,200 more for the Jar of Jam charm. This combination will get you through the whole early mid-game in Dig on Roblox.
The Jam Shovel is one of the best in terms of haste, and when paired with the jam, it gets even more haste with a solid strength buff. To maximize farming efficiency, we suggest enchanting the shovel during this stage.

Candlelight Shovel
In case you want a free shovel during mid-game that does the job, you will need to slay Candlelight Phantom, one of the Dig bosses.
While the Abyssal Shovel is easier to get, it comes with terrible haste, which will cost players with butter fingers. That’s why we recommend getting the Candlelight Shovel. This is overall a solid shovel, with good luck and strength, available for free.

Dig Late Game Shovels
Gold Digger
The early late game in Dig is one of the toughest stages, as you must grind to obtain expensive items, including charms, horns, and more. However, we suggest you save up for the Gold Digger Shovel instead of wasting it on a Frigid or Obsidian shovel. The other two rods sure have good stats, but the Gold Digger makes for a better proposition to maximize profit through efficiency. It is reliable and makes you more money with the Golden mutation.

Prismatic Shovel
When you are rich from digging gold items, you should go for the Prismatic Shovel. No, we are not recommending Starfire Shovel. The stats of the Starfire Shovel do not justify its $600,000 price in Dig. If you pair a good strength charm with the Prismatic Shovel, you can use it for farming any rarity of items in Dig.
