The gameplay loop of Death Stranding isn’t just about walking, as you can build various structures that ease your trips. All the structures from the original game make a return in the sequel, and there are also a few new additions that significantly help in your journey as well. So, if you are looking for all the structures in Death Stranding 2, we have created a guide for you to assist with building these structures here.
How to Build Structures Using PCC in Death Stranding 2

The Portable Chiral Constructor, shortly known as the PCC, is the vital component needed to build different kinds of structures in Death Stranding: On the Beach. To build your desired structure, all you need to do is:
- Grab a PCC (preferably level 2 or above) and select one of your required structures.
- Now find the right spot to start fabricating the structure near you.
- Once the location is locked in, the hologram of the structure will appear blue in color, which is essentially the green light to proceed with building.
- You are good to go now, press R2 to start building your structure.
One important thing to keep in mind is that not all structures can be freely built using a PCC. You can only build the foundations for structures such as the Safehouse and the Bridges. Then you need to bring in the necessary resources to complete the construction.
All the structures can be upgraded to higher levels by providing additional resources. If you are wondering why I need to upgrade my structures, the simple answer is that it increases the durability of your structures. You just have to access the terminal of your structure, select upgrade structure, and deliver the resources; the upgrade will be done on its own.
All the Structures You Can Build in Death Stranding 2
Now that you’ve learned how to build a structure, you should know that every structure consumes a certain chiral bandwidth in Death Stranding 2. So, please be mindful while building one. That said, here is the complete list of all the structures you can build in Death Stranding 2:
1. Watchtower

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 250
Watchtowers are lookout posts with image sensors that can be used to scout the surrounding spaces. It comes in handy during missions, as you can set up a watch tower and mark anything, like cargos, enemies, structures, and more. The sequel adds the option to operate a watchtower remotely.
2. Postbox

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 200
As the name suggests, a postbox can be used to store items in a private locker, and you can share resources with your fellow porters in the shared locker. Now, postboxes can also be used to hide yourself by going inside them. In addition, you can fabricate or recycle your resources using a postbox.
3. Timefall Shelter

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 500
When there is a timefall, you can always build a Timefall shelter to rest. All the items damaged by timefall can be repaired with the repair spray, which automatically starts spraying as soon as you enter a timefall shelter.
Now, these shelters can also act as a hideout from BTs as the shelter deters the Beached Things. Lastly, the water from timefall will be harvested and recycled to fill Sam’s canteen when Sam rests inside one.
4. Generator

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 350
The generators, which are wind-powered, are one of the best structures you can build for yourself as well as the rest of the porters. It can be used to charge electrical equipments, such as Sam’s battery, skeleton, vehicles, and more. There is a new option to discharge an electrical blast to knock out nearby human and ghost mech enemies.
5. Bridge

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 1000
As mentioned earlier, only the foundation of a bridge can be laid by using a PCC. Bridges can be used to cross rivers, trenches, and more. Then, depending on the length of the bridge you want to construct, you need to gather metal to finish building your bridge, i.e., 600 metals for 30m, 800 metals for 45m, and 1200 metals for 80m.
6. Jump Ramp

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 550
You exactly know why we need a Jump Ramp. These jump ramps can be built near rivers or at the edge of mountains, and Sam can make use of them to jump in the air while riding a vehicle. Don’t worry about landing, this structure increases your buoyancy using chiral crystals. So, you can safely land on the ground after leaping through the air.
7. Zip-Line

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 500
Zip lines are the best when it comes to speeding up your traversal across lands or mountains. You can build a row of zip lines by placing them within range of one another. Then you can start gliding from one zip line to another. A limited amount of cargo and one floating carrier can be taken with you on your zip-line rides. Furthermore, you can now curve your path while linking two zip lines.
8. Transponder

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 1250
As Fragile can’t jump between regions through beaches anymore, a new structure, Transponder, has been introduced in Death Stranding 2. Transponders work the same way as Fragile’s beach jumping, as these structures utilize the beaches to let Sam fast-travel from one region to another. Cargos can’t be taken with Sam and will be stored in the facility’s private locker.
9. Chiral Bridge

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 250
A Chiral Bridge is a mini-bridge chiralgram that can be used in case of emergencies, where you don’t have the resources to build a bridge. However, do remember that chiral bridges will disappear during timefall, snow, etc. Sam’s movement speed is automatically boosted while walking through a chiral bridge.
10. Safehouse

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 2500
Similar to the bridge, only a foundation for the safe house can be constructed using the PCC. You need 300 chiral crystals, 960 metals, and 960 special alloys to complete building your safe house structure. Once you’ve built one, you can rest in your private room and store your vehicles in the garage of the safehouse.
11. Hot Spring Digger

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 0
Hot Springs can now be built using a PCC in Death Stranding 2. All you need to do is equip the Hot Spring Digger structure using your PCC, then search for the perfect location rich in groundwater to build your own hot spring.
The hot springs can also be used by Sam to fast-travel. You can learn how to fast-travel using hot springs and find the complete list of hot springs’ locations in our linked guide.
12. Cargo Catapult

- Chiral Bandwidth Cost: 450
The Cargo Catapult also makes a return to the sequel game with a special twist. In addition to launching cargo over long distances, Sam can also hop inside the catapult and be sent flying to a location. Don’t worry about landing, as a parachute will be deployed in the pod to let Sam and his cargo safely land.
