With the return of Matt Murdock aka The Daredevil, the fanbase of the superhero cannot be more hyped with the release of each episode. However, for Daredevil Born Again episode 4, we were hit with a title that can be best described to be cryptic. The title for the latest episode of Daredevil Born Again has been titled “Sic Semper Systema” and I’m here to break down what it could mean in the context of Daredevil Born Again.
What Does Sic Semper Systema Mean?

Sic Semper Systema is taken from Latin and loosely translates to “thus always to the system.” If we simplify what it stands for, it means that a system or a government can be overthrown or challenged. This title could be an indication of the future of the series where we could see Wilson Fisk’s mayorship being threatened.
How Is the Term “Sic Semper Systema” Related to Daredevil Born Again?

Before the release of Daredevil Born Again Episode 4, a post was made on Daredevil’s official X account featuring a poster with the Punisher skull and Sic Semper Systema written over it. This could indicate that in the future, Punisher could play a major role in bringing down Wilson Fisk’s mayorship while Matt is conflicted about wether he should put on his suit again or not.
This term could also be referencing the same doppelganger of Punisher who killed Hector Ayala because he thinks that the justice system failed when it let Hector Ayala walk free.
As of now, it is unclear where the term will take effect but what we can say for sure is that since episode 4 has confirmed Punisher’s return in the upcoming episodes, it could be referencing to him waging a war against the new system being created by Wilson Fisk.
