How to Unlock Welcome to Paradise Quest in Cyberpunk 2077
The mission introduced with the Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners 2 update has limited criteria to begin. You need to meet two requirements before Welcome to Paradise becomes available in Cyberpunk 2077:
- Complete The Heist, an early main story mission.
- Reach Street Cred Level 15.
Once you meet both requirements, wait for Aera to contact you. Read her message, call her, and agree to help her find her missing sister, Haze, and the stolen shard. This begins the Welcome to Paradise side job.
Cyberpunk 2077 Welcome to Paradise Quest Walkthrough
Set aside around an hour if you want to listen to Richard Night’s stories and explore the lore at every stop. You can finish the quest faster by skipping dialogue, but the tour reveals plenty about Night City’s history and the people who created it. Find Haze’s Lost Shard and Listen to the Recording
Travel to the quest marker in Kabuki, Watson, using the Creek Loop Fast Travel point. Search the area for a piece of sheet metal standing in front of a pipe.
Inspect the metal sheet and push it aside to reveal the shard inside the pipe. Pick up the NC Revitalization Project shard and slot it to listen to the recording.
The shard introduces a guided tour of Night City featuring Richard Night, the city’s founder. After listening to the recording, call Aera and tell her you have started uncovering what happened to her sister.
Start the Night Corp Tour and Visit the First Stops
Your next objective is to visit the Night Corp tour stop in Downtown, City Center. Head toward the Halsey & MLK Fast Travel point, enter the building, and take the elevator to the third floor.
Leave the elevator and follow the walkway to the blue Night Corp tour terminal. Interact with it to begin the tour and listen to Richard Night’s introduction. When prompted, connect to the nearby drone to continue the guided experience.
Follow the quest markers to visit the remaining tour stops in this order:
- Corpo Plaza: Head to the tour terminal near the Arasaka Tower Fast Travel point. Interact with the terminal to continue.
- Arasaka Memorial: Visit the nearby memorial and interact with the tour terminal. Walk over to Richard when prompted.
- City Hall: Travel to City Hall in The Glen, Heywood. Use the terminal and connect to the drone when prompted.
- Biotechnica Farms: Head across Night City to the farms and interact with the tour terminal.
- NCART: Travel to the NCART tour stop, activate the terminal, and follow Richard as he walks around the area.
How to Decrypt the Tour Shard in Cyberpunk 2077
After the NCART stop, you must decrypt the shard before continuing the tour. Here is how you can decrypt the shard in the Cyberpunk 2077 Welcome to Paradise quest:
- Open your Journal and select Shards.
- Scroll down to the Encrypted section.
- Select NC Revitalization Project – Identity Cache.
- Choose Crack Security and complete the hacking sequence.
Visit Coronado Dam and the Med Center
Travel to the Coronado Dam tour stop. Militech soldiers will be waiting nearby, so prepare for a fight before interacting with the terminal.
Defeat the soldiers, activate the tour terminal, and jump over the railing when prompted to hear the rest of Richard Night’s story.
Next, travel to the Med Center tour stop and interact with its terminal. Listen to the dialogue, then call Aera when the quest prompts you to update her about your findings.
How to Look for Clues in the Tour Shard in Cyberpunk 2077
Open your Journal and return to the Shards menu. Find NC Revitalization Project – Identity Cache under the Other section.
Select the shard and scroll through its contents to uncover the clues Haze left behind. Once you finish reading, close the shard and wait for V to comment on the Red Caliburn.
This reveals the next destination and sends you back to Kabuki for the final stop.
Visit the Kabuki Tour Stop and Search the Bridge
Travel to the Kabuki tour stop and interact with the terminal to hear Richard Night’s final stories. After the tour, follow the quest marker to the nearby bridge.
When you reach the bridge, walk toward the kids and look for clues. Move to the edge and look down toward the beach to spot the Militech soldiers below. Drop down to the beach and defeat the soldiers.
Scan Haze’s Body and Meet Aera
Once the area is safe, locate Haze’s body and scan her face to learn more about what happened to her. Pick up the shard beside her body and read it.
After investigating the scene, message Aera and arrange to meet her at the nearby basketball court. Wait for her to arrive if necessary.
Aera will ask for the shard Haze left behind. You now have to decide whether to give it to her or keep it.
Should You Give Aera the Shard or Refuse?
Your final decision determines how Aera reacts to you, but either option ends the quest. Here are the choices and their consequences:
Choice Consequence Give Aera the shard She thanks you and continues Haze’s work, putting herself at risk. Refuse to give her the shard Aera becomes angry and tells you never to contact her again.
