Prerequisites to Solve and Loot the Strongbox in Crimson Desert
Before you can head to the manors and solve the strongbox puzzles in Crimson Desert, you will have to get a few items first. Here are the items you need before you can solve and loot the puzzles:
- Keys: These will allow you to open locked doors. This is only required to enter the Bluemont Manor.
- Mask: This is an essential item that you must equip before you can steal in Crimson Desert.
Masks can be obtained by looting defeated bandits, while keys can be collected as loot from various places. However, the easiest way to obtain both is by heading to the Back Alley Shop, where you can buy both of these items for a couple of bronze coins. The location of the vendor is given below in the image. Once you have these items, you are ready to solve the strongbox puzzles.
Crimson Desert Strongbox Locations and Puzzle Solutions
Crimson Desert has 5 strongboxes in the region of Hernand, and all of them are found in Hernand City. Follow the map image below to locate all the manors that have the strongboxes, and follow the sections below to solve them and earn rewards.
Hernand Castle Strongbox Solution
Hernand Castle’s strongbox can be found in the main keep. When entering the main keep, use the stairs on the right to go to the second floor. Once you are near the strongbox, it should appear on the minimap. When it comes to the puzzle, you have to press specific buttons in the correct order to open the strongbox. Follow the image below to know which button to press when. Note that some buttons will need to be pressed twice at different times.
Hillside Manor Strongbox Solution
The Hillside Manor is easy to find, but entering it is slightly tricky. Climb to the top of the manor and head to the back side. There will be a window above the back door that you can use to enter the manor. Now head to the strongbox room and solve the puzzle.
To solve the puzzle, you have to adjust all the middle parts of the tubes to the edge line of the brown area. Move each of the tubes until you get them all in a straight line. Follow the image below to know how much you have to lift each of the tubes to solve the strongbox puzzle.
Lioncrest Manor Strongbox Solution
The Lioncrest Manor is on the outskirts of Hernand City. You can enter this place in a similar way to last time. Simply look for a window on the back side and use it to enter the manor. When it comes to the puzzle, you will have to turn the panels to create the picture given below. This one is fairly easy to do, as long as you follow the image shown here.
Bluemont Manor Strongbox Solution
Entering the Bluemont Manor is tricky. You need to get a ‘key’ to open the door of the manor. We have already explained how to obtain a key above. Now, head to the manor and climb up to the balcony above the guards. Open the door using the key to find the strongbox inside. Now, you will have to turn the panels to complete the image of the owl shown below to solve the puzzle. Press the buttons in the following order to solve:
- Fourth, first, second, third.
Oakenshield Manor Strongbox Solution
Oakenshield Manor is near Bluemont manor and you can enter this place from one of the windows as well. This strongbox puzzle is the same as the Hillside Manor Strongbox, so follow the image below to get the level of the tubes correctly.
