In Short
  • The Black Ops 6 Season 5 Reloaded update will be released on September 4 at 9 AM PT.
  • The update brings a new multiplayer map named Jackpot.
  • The Reckoning Directed Mode is also set to arrive as part of the mid-season update.

The Season 5 Reloaded update for Black Ops 6 injects a dose of new content into the title, giving players a reason to keep playing until the highly-awaited Black Ops 7 Open Beta. The tail-end of a Call of Duty game’s annual cycle is usually on the slower side. Attention starts to shift to what’s next for the franchise, and as a result, the size of seasonal updates tends to shrink. The upcoming mid-season is no different since things are certainly light on the content front. Nevertheless, here’s everything you need to know about the Black Ops 6 Season 5 Reloaded update.

Black Ops 6 Season 5 Reloaded Release Date

Black Ops 6 Season 5 will be released on Thursday, September 4, at 9:00 AM PT (12:00 PM ET/5:00 PM GMT). The release date was revealed via an official Call of Duty blog. And unlike Season 4 Reloaded, the upcoming update will not suffer from a delay.

Black Ops 6 Season 5 Reloaded Content

Black Ops 5 Season 5 Reloaded will see the addition of a Black Ops 4-inspired map as well as a Nuketown-themed event. Check out all the details below:

New Map

Jackpot is the sole new map arriving as part of the mid-season update. The 6v6 map takes inspiration from Black Ops 4’s ‘Casino.’ Set in the opulent interiors of Casino Luttazzi from BO6’s single-player campaign, it lets you wreak havoc all throughout the Avalon Casino. From a gazebo to a center stage, there’s plenty to gawk at, but you’ll have no time to stare at the attractions or spin some slots since the action is frenetic.

New Weapon

The Gravemark .357 Revolver is the only new weapon coming to Black Ops 6 with the new update. The classic single-action revolver packs tons of stopping power and can knock enemies flat on impact. But you’ll have to contend with its segmented and slow reload times, and its mediocre range.

New Attachment

The PPSh-41 Helical Magazine spices up the WW2-era SMG by increasing its ammo capacity. But this doesn’t mean you can spray mindlessly since sustained fire will cause the weapon to overheat. In addition to this heat management mechanic, the Helical Magazine offers improved range, recoil control, and mobility. Earn it via the Nuketown Event once the update arrives.

New Game Modes

Three game modes join the playlist in Season 5 Reloaded:

  • Cranked Demolition: Turn up the explosive energy in this bomb-based mode as teams alternate between attacking and defending two bomb sites while managing a Cranked timer. Plant, defuse, or eliminate enemies to earn speed Perks and activate a bomb countdown on your Operator. Chain eliminations and play the objective to refresh the bomb timer and earn twice the score for your team.
  • Ransack: Put it all on the line in this returning mode, where teams attempt to strike it rich by looting and stashing the noblest metal of them all. Score points by looting gold bars from designated piles around the map and from fallen enemies who drop their acquired gold when eliminated.
  • Blueprint Gunfight: Add some style to your Gunfight matches by taking on enemy duos using a variety of curated Weapon Blueprints. In each round, all four players are given the same pre-determined class. There are no respawns, so play smart, communicate with your teammate, and clutch round after round on the way to six wins to cinch the match.

New Events

Black Ops 6 will host two new events following the Season 5 Reloaded update:

  • Nuketown Block Party: Celebrate Nuketown in explosive fashion with this mid-season event packed with themed rewards honoring this timeless classic map.
  • Operation Hell Ride: Gear up and face the danger head-on with rewards including the new Gravemark .357 Revolver plus the “Pro for Hire” Operator Skin, “Cannon Toss” Finishing Move, and a GPR 91 Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint.

Reckoning Directed Mode

Directed Mode for Reckoning, the final BO6 Zombies map, arrives right on schedule with Season 5 Reloaded. Besides guiding players through the main Easter eggs, Directed Mode sees the round cap increase to 15. Players who complete Reckoning on Directed Mode will earn a unique Calling Card variant upon completion along with the “Keepsake” Weapon Charm and an XP payout.

Team Cranked LTM

The Team Cranked LTM is all set to return, and it pits amped up Operators in a race against the clock. After eliminating your very first zombie, a 30-second timer kicks off, and to keep it ticking, your squad will need to chain together eliminations. With every round, however, the max allotted time is reduced by one second. The objective is simple: Rack up a high score and stop the timer from ticking down to zero.

To help you along the way, all Operators enter a Cranked state, conferring incredible speed bonuses, including faster movement and rapid reloads. You can also pick up the rare Time Extended power-up during matches to increase the maximum allowed time.

And that wraps up our guide on Black Ops 6 Season 5 Reloaded. Are you looking forward to the upcoming update? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
