Marathon Weapon Rarities: Explained

As Marathon is an extraction shooter, just knowing the guns will never be enough. Rarity will matter when you start your loot. In extraction shooters, with higher-rarity weapons, the gun receives better attachments or perks, and the same is true for Marathon. Before queuing up, you’ll notice your total backpack value, so be careful about what you bring into the lobby. Here are all the weapon rarities in Marathon that we know:

  • Gray (Standard): Standard, basic weapons to get you started – functional firepower without any extras. These items are nearly worth zero credits.
  • Green (Enhanced): Slightly better, possibly with one attachment or a slight stat increase, offering a bit more. Enhanced items are barely worth any credits.
  • Blue (Deluxe): Tactical weapons with multiple attachments and noticeable performance upgrades begin here. Great farming weapons for the PVE part of the game, and have an average credit value.
  • Purple (Superior): These weapons offer significant gameplay advantages like faster reloads and improved recoil. Perfect for PVP scenarios, primarily available in hot zones of the map, and offers massive credits.
  • Gold (Prestige): Top-tier, game-changing weapons; some drastically alter function or grant powerful effects. Hard to find one in the Marathon maps; even harder to leave the lobby with it. But if you can, there is a lot of profit for each item.

That ends our list of Marathon guns and weapon rarity. Are you excited to find the Prestige Magnum MC and add it to your collection? Share your thoughts in the comments down below.
