Mega Lucario EX is undoubtedly one of the best decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket. The strategy is fairly simple, as you need to set up your supports to buff Mega Lucario’s damage.
We have only two basic Pokemon in this deck, so that you can get Riolu at the earliest. Make sure to place a Riolu in the active spot if you have one. Hitmontop also works fine in the early turns, as you can damage every Pokemon in the opponent’s team.
Korrina and Arena of Antiquity are the ace cards of this deck. Korrina can boost the damage of Mega Lucario EX by +30 against opponents’ EXs. The Arena of Antiquity also buffs the damage by +20. However, we recommend that you use this stadium card once your Mega Lucario EX is ready to take charge and attack. If you play a Stadium too early, then your opponent can cancel it out with their own Stadium.
To use Mega Lucario EX at its best, make sure that you have 3 Fighting energy attached on him to deal a total of 140 damage. You can even evolve Riolu into a non-EX Lucario for more damage buff. With all the supports and buffs combined, Mega Lucario EX will deal 220 damage per turn — enough to one-shot EXs, and some Mega EXs.
As a Fighting-type deck, you need to look out for Psychic decks, like Mega Gardevoir EX, and Mega Altaria EX.
