Asus recently announced that the company will launch the ZenFone Max Pro M2 in India on December 11. The product page for the upcoming smartphone has now gone live on Flipkart, revealing some of the ZenFone Max Pro M2’s features such as a notch on the display, dual rear camera set up, highly durable build quality and a Snapdragon processor among others.
Asus also gives us a good look at the smartphone’s design and glossy build in a short video which highlights the upcoming smartphone’s superior build quality, thanks to the usage of Gorilla Glass 6 to protect the device from occasional drops.
Just a few days ago, alleged official images and specifications of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 were leaked, alongside details of its smaller sibling, the ZenFone Max M2 which might also be announced on December 11th. Let’s take a look at the teaser shared by Flipkart and compare them with the previous leaks.
Notch
The official ZenFone Max Pro M2 teaser on Flipkart confirms that the upcoming smartphone will sport a notch. As per previous leaks, the device will reportedly feature a 6-inch 2340 x 1080 display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a small chin at the bottom.
Camera
The next teaser reveals that the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will feature a dual-rear camera set-up with a Sony sensor onboard. This again falls in line with the previous leak which claimed that the device will come equipped with a dual rear camera set-up which consists of a 12MP primary sensor (Sony IMX486) and a 5MP secondary sensor, with PDAF and EIS onboard.
Battery
Asus claims that the upcoming smartphone will offer a battery life of over 2 days and makes it clear that the ZenFone Max Pro will be the lightest smartphone packing the largest battery in its class. As per previous leaks, the device will come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, however, it is not clear whether it will support fast charging or not.
Gorilla Glass 6
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 will come with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, and as per the poster, it will be the most durable smartphone in its segment. As per an official Tweet, the device can withstand up to 15 consecutive drops from a waist-height. Snapdragon SoC
Flipkart’s teaser confirms that the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will feature the ‘fastest Snapdragon’ processor in its segment, which also corroborates previous leaks suggesting that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of expandable internal storage. It could also be the Snapdragon 670 SoC that is seen in the Oppo R17.
