Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 With Snapdragon 660, 5000mAh Battery Launched in India

zenfone max pro m2 launched in India

ZenFone Max Pro M1 was a significant launch for Asus and helped it confront the budget king, Xiaomi, and regain lost ground over the past couple of years. The smartphone sold like hotcakes and still is, however, its successor – ZenFone Max Pro M2 – has today made its much-awaited debut in India and there’s a lot to like here.

Price and Availability

The base variant (3GB+32GB) of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 has been priced at Rs 12,999, whereas the 4GB + 64GB version is priced at Rs 14,999, and the highest-end variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 16,999.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 comes in either Blue or Titanium colors, and will exclusively be available online via Flipkart from December 18.

ZenFone Max Pro M2 Specs

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 isn’t an iterative upgrade like its arch-nemesis Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 6 Pro but instead, brings along quite a lot of changes in tow. The smartphone now dons a glass-like finish on the back and features a notched display on the front.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 sports a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD screen, with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels and 94 percent NTSC color gamut. And as Asus has been touting, this device comes with Gorilla Glass 6 protection and that’s impressive in its price segment.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset, which is a step up from the Snapdragon 636 SoC on the ZenFone Max Pro M1, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

ZenFone Max Pro M2 includes a dual rear-camera module, with a 12MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor, along with a 13MP (f/2.0) selfie camera. There’s an LED flash available both on the front and rear.

Asus has kept the two things that made its previous Max Pro smartphone a winner intact with this successor and it’s the stock Android experience (Android 8.1 Oreo, this time around as well) and the huge 5,000mAh battery. It’s the same as its predecessor and should quite easily last you about 2-days on a single charge.

There’s your usual set of connectivity options and a fingerprint sensor on the rear as well. To sum it all up, you can check out the complete specs of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 in the table attached below:
