Arcane Season 2 was nothing less than a wonderful surprise for League of Legends fanatics, as the TV show finally became canon to the popular video game. Now that the beloved show has ended, I will shed light on a minor hint featured in the concluding moments of the final episode, which was missed by most of the fandom, especially non-gamers.
Arcane Season 2 Hints at a New Noxian Villain Following Ambessa’s Death
Arcane featured several villains throughout its run, including Viktor and Silco. However, the most menacing one was surely Ambessa. Ambessa manipulates everyone around her, but she eventually finds her fate in the hands of her own daughter — Mel Medarda. Now that the series has concluded, fans look forward to the next League of Legends show and wonder what villains will be featured in the next show in this universe. We might already have the name of a villain who’ll surely appear in the spin-off.
Arcane Season 2’s last moments show a raven with three eyes. While for the non-gamers, it might just be a random raven, the LoL followers know very well that the three-eyed raven hints at Swain. It means the Noxian visionary Swain kept track of everything that happened in the series from the beginning.
In the eye of the raven, there was a reflection of crystal, clearly stating that Hextech hasn’t gone anywhere; it’s still around. So, we might see Swain appearing in further shows based on League of Legends. Besides him, we can also expect Hextech to make things even scarier.
Who Is Swain in League of Legends?
Swain is a visionary leader of Noxus who was born to an influential family. He and some other noble houses played a significant role in Darkwill’s rise to power. However, many conspired against Darkwill and eventually got killed by Swain.
Swain received appreciation from the Noxus army for exposing the conspirators. He also learned that the greatest strength of the Noxus army was the men who were given the chance to be a part of it. During a battle, he was pushed to the verge of death by the enemies. However, he wasn’t someone who would accept his defeat so easily. So, when a raven arrives to feed on him, the Noxus visionary looks into the Raven’s eyes and absorbs its powers, eventually making it his eyes.
Apparently, the Raven belonged to Raum, an ancient entity that preyed on the dying. However, Swain absorbed the powers of this entity and became a powerful being feared by even the strongest characters in the League of Legends lore.
