Arcane has featured multiple time skips since the start, and the animated series has undoubtedly improved its narrative and storytelling with each one. Vi and Jinx, who were meant to be together, were separated in childhood and reunited a few years later. While Jinx fights her demons all alone, Vi gets a helping hand from Caitlyn. The Ages of Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn Explored
1. Vi
- Arcane Season 1 Act 1 age: 14-16
- Arcane Season 1 (Act 2-3), Season 2 (Act 1-3) age: 20-23
When we first met Vi, we saw Vander taking her and Powder with him after the war. At this time, she was around 10 to 12 years old. The first time jump of the series shows her age between 14 and 16, where we saw her steal from Jayce.
After getting separated from Powder and spending seven years in jail, we get to meet Vi, who is all grown up and aged between 20 and 23.
Vi (aka Violet) has been seen as a perfect elder sister who would do anything to protect her younger sibling, Powder. Even though, due to her stubbornness, Powder often ends up spoiling missions for Vi, Claggor, and Mylo, Vi never fails to stand up for her. However, following Vander, her adoptive father’s gruesome death in Season 1, Vi gets caught by an enforcer and ends up landing in jail for seven years.
So, she basically spent her early teenage years in prison; no wonder she grew cold. However, after encountering the psychotic Jinx, Vi realizes that she used to be her younger sister Powder years ago, but now all that remains is Jinx.
2. Jinx

Jinx was merely 4 to 5 years old when she lost her parents and was taken by Vander. Later, when the show features its first time skip, she is somewhere around 10 to 12 years of age. Following the separation from Vi, the blue-haired insane Jinx (Powder) is aged between 17 and 19.
Jinx was always fascinated by inventions. Do you remember the inquisitive look on her face when she encountered the Hextech crystals at Jayce’s apartment? Later, she created her own bombs that somehow made her the reason for Mylo, Claggor, and Vander’s demise. After she is separated from Vi and taken into custody by Silco, she loses her mind. However, despite losing her sanity, she invents some of the deadliest tools that make her the most wanted criminal.
Powder was way too innocent to understand the world of violence and betrayals, but after growing up, she transformed into someone who wouldn’t do good to anyone without any reason. Looking at her troubled childhood, it makes sense why she commits such heinous crimes.
3. Caitlyn

Like Vi, Caitlyn enters the picture when she is somewhere between 14 and 16. Later, when she approaches Vi in jail in Season 1 Act 2, she is aged between 20 to 23.
Caitlyn joins the series in the first act of Season 1 as an accomplice of Jayce. Later, the naive girl goes out all alone to meet a teenage Vi in prison. She becomes Vi’s closest companion, and their friendship becomes something else as the television show progresses.
In the current season, she is misguided by Ambessa, but fortunately, the reunion with Vi brings her on the right path.
