Imagine a game with some of the most iconic Shonen anime characters that you can recruit to fight waves of enemies. That’s what All Star Tower Defense X brings to the table. This Roblox game hosts multiple units, each with its own playstyle, abilities, and skills. Apart from that, you can roll unique traits for your units to give them additional boosts. These further enhance the fighting power of your units and help you win battles. That said, if you’re confused about what traits you should use in the game, you need not worry. We have ranked the traits in the game in this All Star Tower Defense X traits tier list.
All Star Tower Defense X Traits Tier List
Currently, All Star Tower Defense X has 13 traits players can choose from. Among these, traits like Perception, Dexterity, and others have three levels, each with increasing effectiveness. So, we’ve counted each level as its own trait while ranking them in our guide here.
Here, we have divided the traits into tiers, from S Tier to D Tier, depending on the value they add to the unit in the game. As you go up the ladder, it becomes increasingly tough to obtain the best traits due to their low drop rates. However, they are worth the effort due to their exceptional abilities and, hence, lie in the top-most S tier. The D tier, on the other hand, consists of basic traits that work well in the early stages of the game.
So, without further ado, check out where your favorite trait ranks in our All Star Tower Defense X traits tier list.
Tier Ranking | Traits |
---|---|
S Tier | All Star |
A Tier | Genesis, Corrupted, Bloodlust |
B Tier | Midas, Prodigy, Tempest, Sharpshooter, |
C Tier | Companion, Zenkai 3, Dexterity 3, Perception 3, Zenkai 2, Dexterity 2 |
D Tier | Perception 2, Zenkai 1, Dexterity 1, Perception 1, Tank |
ASTDX Traits: S Tier
The top-most category, S Tier, consists of a single trait called All Star. This is no doubt the greatest trait in the game, and it’s literally in its name. With a 0.2% drop rate, it can be difficult to obtain the trait, but once you have it on any of your best units, no round will feel challenging enough.
This trait boosts your unit’s damage by 300%, range by 10%, improves durability, attack rate, and unlocks special moves as well. With so many powerful passives, your unit can single-handedly take over the whole arena in some battles. Here are the stats of the All Star trait:
Trait | Drop Rate | Effect |
---|---|---|
All Star | 0.2% | +300% DMG -10% SPD +10% RNG +50% Durability Unit Limit 1 Overall cost +1.75x Special unit moves 200% Money on Farms |
ASTDX Traits: A Tier
Coming to the A Tier, we have three traits that are some of the most powerful in the game, but they are no match for All Star. It comprises Genesis, which increases all three stats of any unit, including damage, speed, and range. It also boosts true damage but at a cost of half your unit’s health.
The Corrupted and Bloodlust traits are slightly easier to obtain. The former boosts the rate of attack and range, while the latter increases the damage output and range. Corrupted will help in bypassing shields and sometimes even breaking them. Bloodlust, on the other hand, will add one stack every kill, each adding to the damage and rate of attack.
Trait | Drop Rate | Effect |
---|---|---|
Genesis | 0.7% | +12.5% DMG -8.5% SPD +8.5% RNG +50% True DMG, ignoring elemental rules for half of your unit’s damage Special unit moves |
Corrupted | 0.8% | -10% SPD +7.5 RNG +20% Shield bypass damage +1 Shield break per hit Marks enemies to take +10% DMG from attacks Special unit moves |
Bloodlust | 0.8% | +10% DMG +10% RNG +1 Stack per kill (Max 10) Each stack applies +1% DMG, -1% SPD to your unit Unit loses 1 stack every 0.5s after being idle for 15s Special unit moves |
ASTDX Traits: B Tier
In the B Tier, we have traits that are good for supporting units in a battlefield, especially the first two— Midas and Prodigy. While Midas helps increase the cash income from every wave as well as from eliminating enemies, Prodigy helps increase the amount of XP gained by each unit on every stage.
The Tempest trait adds to the attack rate and DoT damage of a unit, while Sharpshooter adds to the range of attacks. Another impressive ability of the Sharpshooter trait is that your units attack an extra enemy, but at a cost of their own health.
Trait | Drop Rate | Effect |
---|---|---|
Midas | 5% | +25% Farm income +5% Elimination income |
Prodigy | 10% | +50% Unit XP gain from stages |
Tempest | 3% | -10% SPD +30% DoT damage |
Sharpshooter | 4% | +15% RNG Attacks an additional random enemy for 5% of unit’s damage |
ASTDX Traits: C Tier
The C Tier is only helpful in the early-to-mid-game stages, when you might not have enough trait burners to unlock better traits mentioned in the tiers above. However, that doesn’t mean these are poor traits in All Star Tower Defense X.
You can use Companion on any unit to increase the placement count by one. Or, you can go with Zenkai to increase the damage output of your unit. Dexterity increases the rate of attack for a unit, while Perception increases the range of attacks. Now, you will notice that the traits are divided into their respective stages. You can also notice that Zenkai 3 has more damage boost than Zenkai 2; the same applies to other traits as well.
Trait | Drop Rate | Effect |
---|---|---|
Companion | 2% | +1 Placement |
Zenkai 3 | 6.5% | +10% DMG |
Dexterity 3 | 6% | -7% SPD |
Perception 3 | 7% | +7% RNG |
Zenkai 2 | 8% | +7% DMG |
Dexterity 2 | 7.5% | -5% SPD |
ASTDX Traits: D Tier
In the D Tier, we have a few traits suitable only for beginners in the game. This tier consists of some of the same traits in the C Tier, but the only difference is in their stage. These are all Stage 2 and 1 versions of Perception, Zenkai, and Dexterity, which are low in providing you stat boosts, but easy to obtain.
The tank trait lies at the very bottom due to its useless boost of increasing the durability of any unit by 50%. It’s something you should highly consider skipping because it adds almost no value to your unit.
Trait | Drop Rate | Effect |
---|---|---|
Perception 2 | 9% | +5% RNG |
Zenkai 1 | 10% | +5% DMG |
Dexterity 1 | 10% | -3% SPD |
Perception 1 | 11.5% | +3% RNG |
Tank | 12% | +50% Durability |
All Star Tower Defense X Traits Explained
If you notice what traits you can get by clicking on the Trait Index button while interacting with the Robot NPC, you will see they all have effects shown in short-forms. Some effects might not be clear about what they actually do, and you can end up with inferior options. So, here is what the All Star Tower Defense X traits abbreviations mean:
- Durability: It’s the health of the base you’re saving. This means the area you’re preventing the opponents from entering using the team of units you have.
- DMG: This is your unit’s total damage output inflicted on the enemies with a single hit.
- SPD: It’s the rate of attack or simply the cooldown time until when your unit can make its next attack. So the lesser the value, the faster a unit attacks the enemies.
- RNG: It’s the range of attack for units. The more the RNG value, the farther the unit can hit opponents.
- Placement: This indicates the number of units placed. Since Companion increases this trait, it means that you can place one more unit on the battlefield.
- DoT damage: DoT stands for Damage over Time. So, the more its value, the greater damage your unit does over a given period. So, the enemies lose health faster.
- Income: Only affected by the Midas trait, where your unit earns more cash in a certain round as well as earns bonuses while defeating or eliminating the enemies.
- Stack: Only affected by the Bloodlust trait, where your unit earns one stack for each kill. This stack improves damage done and the rate of attack by 1%.
- Shield Bypass and Shield Break: The Corrupted trait in ASTDX allows your unit to inflict 20% damage of its original value when enemies are carrying shields. Moreover, units with this trait have increased chances of breaking the enemy shields as well.
- True DMG: Any unit’s True damage is the amount of damage dealt to the enemy irrespective of both their elemental forms. This means true damage overlooks the strong and weak elements concept in the game.
