- Damage: Checking this button will only allow you to unlock the nodes on the damage path of the unit, which means your unit will have more boosted damage output.
- Speed: Checking this button allows you to unlock nodes on the speed path, hence boosting the rate of attack or shorter cooldowns.
- Range: Checking this button will unlock nodes on the Range path, so boosted range of attacks.
- Fast Unlock: This way, you will use up a given number of skill orbs to unlock all nodes on a branch, ignoring the dupe nodes and hidden special moves.
- 4 Empty Cells: Here, all your special ability moves will be placed once unlocked with skill orbs.

How to Unlock Nodes in ASTDX Skill Tree

So, choose any one path out of Damage, Speed, or Range to work on it for your unit. However, always choose the one which will help that unit gain an extra edge in the battlefield.
Now you can select the node at the starting point and press the confirm button to unlock it by spending the skill orbs. Note that the skill orbs you earn have specific colors. Only when the color of skill orb you have matches your unit’s color, it can be used to unlock its nodes. Otherwise, you would need to obtain Pure skill orbs, turn them into the color you require, and then unlock the nodes.
ASTDX Dupe Nodes and Special Nodes
There are three extra dupe nodes for every skill tree. Here’s an important part about the trees that for every unit you do this, make sure to unlock the three extra dupe nodes before anything. This allows you to explore other nodes as well, when you’ve maxed out a certain branch.
The dupe nodes can be unlocked by using the same 5 Star or Unbound unit, whose skill tree you’re currently working on in the game. Hence, you’ll require 4 units in all to unlock each and every node on the skill tree.
At the end of a certain branch, you will be given an opportunity to unlock a special ability as well. This one’s called the special node. Here, you can get a passive ability like 10% Critical chance or 10% Element boost for your unit depending on the path you’ve chosen.

How to Access the Skill Tree in All Star Tower Defense X

Moreover, you must be level 18 and above to use this mechanic in the game. - Move over to the chamber on the left of Summoning Area, that says Grand Elder.
